Because why not?

Real Techniques - Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge | Miracle Sculpting Sponge | Ultimate Base Set*

12 December 2016
Real Techniques have expanded their makeup sponge range recently and when I was given the opportunity to try some of them I gladly accepted.

The newest editions include a twin pack of the Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges, the Miracle Sculpting Sponge and the limited edition Ultimate Base Set which contains two best sellers and an exclusive brush.

The Ultimate Base Set contains a Miracle Complexion Sponge, Expert Face Brush, a Deluxe Concealer Brush which is exclusive to the set and a brush pouch. It's worth noting that the Deluxe Concealer Brush is the same as the Deluxe Crease Brush just with a different handle colour and the brush pouch will only hold thinner brushes from the Real Techniques line.

One of the newer additions to the Real Techniques range are the Mini Miracle Eraser Sponges, these are designed to fix makeup mistakes like flaking mascara but if I'm going to be totally honest I would say don't try to fix anything with these, simply use them for concealing and highlighting, they are the perfect size, density and shape for applying concealer under the eye, around the nose and treating small problem areas, these do what the Beauty Blender Micro Mini failed to do.

I also love to use these for highlighting cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose and the cupids bow. When it comes to contouring the nose they are fabulous too. If you like using sponges in your routine these are a must have!

The Miracle Sculpting Sponge is designed for contouring and highlighting, the large flat edge is used for contouring the face while the small flat edge is for highlighting.

Personally I didn't have a whole lot of luck with this sponge but I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of cream contouring/highlighting and I think if you used this method often in your routine you may have an easier time than I did.

I can say I've had a good experience using this as a bronzing sponge, I use both ends to apply NARS Liquid Laguna and the results are great.

I would recommend this for any cream contour/liquid bronzer lovers who would like a dedicated sponge for the job.

  1. Great review. One thing though is that that deluxe concealer brush is the same as the deluxe crease brush not the shader.

    1. Correct! Thanks for pointing that out, I fixed up my error :)
