Because why not?

Bare Minerals - The Wish List Palette

19 December 2016
Bare Minerals The Wish List Palette was one of three Christmas palette releases from Bare Minerals for 2016 and the only palette that featured just eyeshadows, the packaging is made up of sturdy plastic, a firm magnetic closure and a large mirror.

Inside are 12 eyeshadows, all on the natural spectrum, each shade is 'limited edition' but some are repeats from past palettes (Chance was featured in the 2016 Nudes palette & Daydream in the 2016 Neutral Palette for example).

This palette is very similar to the Nudes palette brought out earlier this year, promotional pictures of this palette made it look quite red toned and very on-trend, however it doesn't deliver that at all, if you own the Nudes palette that was release earlier in 2016 you certainly won't need this one but if you happened to miss out on the earlier release this would make a great alternative.

The formula of the shadows are typical Bare Minerals, very pigmented, soft, easy to blend and apply nicely with a brush, the only two shades that had me scratching my head were Good Spirits and Boardroom which feel significantly drier in the pan than their usual matte formula, however they still perform very well.

Merry - Shimmery, cool pale pink, good pigmentation for a light shade.

Bubbles - Metallic rose gold, fantastic pigmentation.

Come True - Matte, light neutral brown, great pigmentation.

Granted - Matte, light peach toned brown, great pigmentation.

Yes Please - Warm, medium toned brown with gold sparkle, pigmentation is ok, doesn't swatch well but applies nicely with a brush.

Stiletto - Dark plum brown with gold and purple sparkle, pigmentation is ok, doesn't swatch well but applies nicely with a brush.

Chance - Matte, cool off white with good pigmentation.

Day Dream - Matte, warm light beige with good pigmentation.

Bling - Metallic pewter with great pigmentation.

Gold Leaf - Metallic gold, great pigmentation.

Good Spirits - Matte, warm dark brown, pigmentation is ok, doesn't swatch well but applies nicely with a brush.

Boardroom - Matte blacked dark brown, pigmentation is ok, doesn't swatch well but applies nicely with a brush.

Overall The Wish List is a nice neutral palette that is easy to wear and delivers good quality shadows, however, since the palette is very similar to the Nudes palette they released earlier in the year and the promotional pictures presented this as a more red and plum toned palette I find that it really didn't live up to my expectations and it makes it a little bit difficult for me to love it, personal feelings aside, the palette is very nice though and would me a lovely addition to any nude makeup lovers collection.

Bare Minerals The Wish List palette retails for $66.00AUD and is available at Mecca Maxima, Mecca Cosmetica and online at Mecca.com.au
