Because why not?

Project Pan 2016 - Round 4 | Update #1

12 October 2016

My first month is down for my current Project Pan and I'm a little on the fence about my results.

I finished a bunch of makeup samples, 11 to be exact.

Giorgio Armani Prima Primer - From what I can tell this is supposed to be a hydrating primer that also helps to control oil, personally I didn't feel like it did much for me by I quite liked it and am considering adding it to my 'must buy' list.

Giorgio Armani Designer Lift - One of my all time favourite foundations, definitely planning on repurchasing in the future.

Nars Pro-Prime Radiance Enhancing Primer - This doesn't really do anything for me so not something I would repurchase.

Hourglass Immaculate Foundation - Went on patchy and was super difficult to blend, I think if I could have got a nice layer of this on I would have liked it because it set to a matte powder finish and had fairly nice coverage. I wouldn't bother purchasing a full size bottle.

Napoleon Lipgloss in Pink - A little sticky but the colour was nice so I managed to get through it, not something I would buy.

Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer - The pump on this stopped working and I can't describe the feeling of elation that I experienced when I realised that I didn't have to use it any more, this was one of those products I hated but was determined to beat. It doesn't work well over makeup, you can't see it under makeup and it's just kind of ok on the body. I wouldn't consider purchasing it in the future.

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin - A shimmery eyeshadow primer, it's nice for adding extra shimmer to shimmery shadows or under metallics, it's also nice under mattes but it's not likely to be something I would purchase for myself.

Benefit Porefessional - This product is weird for me, in the past it's broken me out but this sample didn't cause me any issue, not sure what's up with that but I'm not willing to risk buying a full size only to find it breaks me out again.

Biotherm Glossy Shine in #30 - Glossy, hydrating, discontinued.

Hourglass Lipstick in Grace - Gorgeous formula but way too light for my skin tone, I enjoyed mixing it with other shades to help make them a little more nude though.

Kylie's Mineral Shadow in Dream - I used this as a face highlight, looked pretty and was easy to get through.

While we are talking about samples that you'll never see again I may as well mention a few I'm throwing away..

Lord & Berry Sparkle Black Liner - It moves too easily and has silver glitter in it. Not interested.

Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Shadow - Leaves a slightly tacky finish which I'm not a fan of and if I set it with a powder it makes my lids look wrinkly.

Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips in #04 - A little too drying for me and the colour is almost fluorescent, not something I will wear.

Finally I have my full size products

I'm so annoyed that I didn't finish the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder, I was sure I'd have it done by the first update considering it already had pan when I started.

My MAC Pro Longwear Concealer actually has a little more use than what the line shows but since i can't really prove that I figured it's best to just mark it where you will be able to see it, I'm confident that I'll be able to finish it by the end of the project.

The Billion Dollar Brows Brow Gel is getting to the point where it's pretty manky, I've taken the stopper out to get to the last of the product so I'm hoping this will be done by the next update.

My pan of Benefit Hoola is slow going, after repressing it it's just a matter of working on it every day to hit pan again, it's possibly something that could happen by the end of the project.

The progress on Hugo Boss Woman EDP is going ok, I know I won't finish it but my goal at the moment is to just focus on my perfumes that I don't adore any longer but still like enough to use and slowly move them out of my collection.

The progress of my pencil products isn't too bad, the Billion Dollar Brows Universal Brow Pencil is slow going because it's a little too warm and dark so I use very little with each application.

As for the Gorgeous Cosmetics Lipliner in Strawberry and Revlon Raisin Lipliner, I know neither have a lot of progress but combined it's quite good, if I was focusing on a single liner I would be sick of it by now though so I'm pleased to have the different colour options.

Finally MAC Ola Viola has great progress and I'm hoping to focus on it a little more in October and possibly have it finished by the next update.

I'm pleased to be clearing the makeup samples out at the very least and look forward to having a couple of full sized empties by the next update!
