Because why not?

Project Pan 2016 - Round 3 | Sampled Edition | Update #2

5 August 2016

It's Project Pan time! I gotta say, makeup samples are surprisingly difficult to finish!!

As always, I'll start with empties.

Touch In Sol Honey Moon Skin Base
I used this as a primer but it's kind of skincare/primer product in one. The texture of this was super sticky and it held my makeup on quite well, however I didn't find it to be anything super special so it's not something I would purchase.

Purple Mineral Shadow Sample
Matte, greyish-purple. Very easy to wear but not something I would chase down to repurchase.

Clinique Stay Matte Foundation
Love it, will buy a bottle when the weather warms up and I'm in need of a more mattifying foundation.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Rocksteady
Great formula, offers a little bit of a stain so it wears well. Have considered buying some of these because they are still available at Mecca but after decluttering my lipsticks I'm feeling like I should avoid buying more for a while.

MAC Prolongwear Waterproof Foundation
I didn't like the way this sat on my skin, not something I would purchase.

Bare Minerals Lash Domination Mascara
Really liked this, offered length, volume and definition but it started to transfer after a few hours of wear so I'm considering it done.

Lancome Crayon Kohl Eye Pencil
Formula is great, nothing wrong with it, I simply don't have a lot of interest in using pencils around the eye at this point, I'm all about the pen liners right now.

Avon Lipstick in Natural Gold
Lovely formula but I wasn't a fan of the colour.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
I've had a sample of this in the past and I was quite confident it broke me out, since I was pairing it with some other new products at the time I figured I'd give the sample another go. It definitely breaks me out.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer
This is supposed to help brighten the skin, it's a yellow tinted cream. It didn't really do anything for me.

I ended up with 6 new makeup samples, these include Giorgio Armani foundations and primer, Benefit Kabrow, Nars Laguna Liquid Bronzer and Eyeko Skinny Mini Pen Liner.

July progress:
Samples finished: 10
Value: $49.39
New samples: 6
Current makeup samples: 107

So it's pretty obvious that I won't be finishing all my makeup samples by the end of the project (was never going to be possible!), I'm happy with my progress so far and look forward to seeing what I can finish in the last month of this project but with the end of the project looming I am contemplating how to ensure that I finish these makeup samples by the end of the year while also continuing to use up standard makeup items that I own. I think my next project may be a combination of full size items and samples.

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. All opinions are my own and based on my personal experience. Integrity Always..
