Because why not?

Favourites & Fuck Ups - March 2016

5 April 2016

Only a few favourites this month but as always, you are seeing my true loves!

Pixi Glow Tonic - Why didn't I fall for the hype sooner? This is one of those products that really does deserve the accolades it receives. This is the only product that has properly exfoliated my skin in the last 4 years and is helping with some major skin congestion issues. I'll definitely be trying out similar products in the future but if they don't compare I'll certainly be coming right back to this!

Brushes (Rae Morris & Wayne Goss) - First off I will apologise because these brushes aren't cheap. The Wayne Goss brush #21 is the ultimate brow brush, it has dense, stiff bristles that are super smooth so it picks up, places and disperses product really well, it'll work with gels, creams, powders and wax products. You can buy this separately now!
Rae Morris Brushes (L-R 6 Deluxe Pro Blender, 9 Detail Point Shader, 16 Brow Definer, 8 Medium Point Shader). These are so fucking soft, all of the brushes are made with Blue Squirrel hair (cruelty free obtained), aside from the brow definer which is synthetic, they place product and blend so beautifully. I'll also put it out there that every single brush mentioned here is cheaper than RT Bold Metals brushes, they are also better quality and softer on the skin.

KhairPep - I don't want to say too much about this because I have a full review coming up soon but if you colour your hair or have it chemically straightened then this needs to be in your routine. It's not exactly cheap but considering the small amount required for each use it is certainly affordable! This has changed my life when it comes to my hair. Keep an eye out for that review!

Let's move on to the shittiest products I have used recently..

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous - If you like thick, heavy, low coverage foundation then you'll fucking love this. If you then like to layer it to build more coverage and have it feel even heavier and really look caked on then you're going to love it even more! So yuck.

Beauty Blender Rea.Activate - This crap is supposed to rehydrate your beauty blender on the go, you're also supposed to be able to use it to set your makeup. When it comes to rehydrating a beauty blender it certainly works but since it contains oil (lavender mostly) your beauty blender will take forever to dehydrate and cleaning becomes a chore. Don't even bother trying to use it as a setting spray unless you like drops of oil on your face that never dry and leave little wet patches on your makeup. Stupidest product I have used this year.

What were your favourite and most hated products of March?
