Premium Spa - Body Care Overview*

20 January 2016
I've been lucky enough to receive quite a little collection of Premium Spa products recently and I figured I'd try them all out and let you know what I think.

Tangerine & Lime Zest Body Wash

This body wash ticked multiple boxes for me, the consistency is like a fluid gel and the citrusy scent is gorgeous, lime reigns supreme with this one but the tangerine is also subtly noticeable, it foams in to a medium lather but feels really soft on the skin, although it seems like a more gentle body wash it still cleans really well and I would happily purchase this in the future. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of fresh citrus scents.

Frangipani & Coconut Sugar Body Scrub

Sugar scrubs can be a bit of a nightmare to deal with but I was surprised in the best possible way by this one, it smells lovely and is mega jam packed with scrubby bits, mostly it uses salt but sugar is in there too, it does take a little work initially to break it down in to a workable scrub (I just mush it between my hands) but once it's on the skin it's fabulous, rinsing away it's almost like it emulsifies under the water and instead of leaving your skin greasy you're just left with soft, smooth skin that feels lightly hydrated but well exfoliated.

I'd really recommend this one, since it's aimed at normal to oily skin it won't leave you slick with balmy oils. Will be purchasing this one for sure!

Face & Body Mask

It's not often that I find myself to be a raving fan of mud masks and in this case it's not much different.
This mud mask has a thinner consistency to what I'm typically use to but I will say that's a plus because it's much easier to smooth over your face and body compared to a lot of other masks I've tried, it has the scent of sandalwood, bergamot and geranium so is quite pleasant and it's drying time is pretty standard for mud masks.
Directions are to apply a generous amount over the desired area, leave for 10 minutes and rinse off with water.

I must say that this dries really firm and can take a bit of work to get off, I found using a warm face washer and sitting it over my face or patches of my body for a few minutes helped to soften the mask before washing it off.
While I wasn't a huge fan of this I want to stipulate that I rarely have any results from mud masks so I tend to not be all that keen on them in general and I kind of feel like I'm not the best person to judge masks like this since they don't typically do anything for me anyway.

SOS Moisture Balm in Frangipani & Coconut

This is a super hydrating body cream as you would imagine from the name, it has a lovely fresh scent and a thick texture, since I moisturise my body quite regularly I find this is a little too heavy for everyday use, especially now that it's summer but the dry spot on my body (elbows and knees) really drink it up. I have found using this once a fortnight is perfect for a deep hydration treatment and using it daily on my knees and elbows has resulted in lovely soft skin. Would absolutely recommend if you struggle with dry skin on your body.
