Because why not?

Blogmas 2015 Day 31 - Resolutions?

31 December 2015
Wow, last day of 2015. I'm not sad to see it go, it was a tough one. In fact so was 2014, I'm hoping 2016 will be a little easier on me and many other people I know why struggled through the year.

I'm not really one to make New Year Resolutions, when I want to make a change I simply allow a new day to be my fresh start but in saying that I do have a few personal goals I want to reach this year.

  1. No more bleaching my hair. It's time to grow it out and see what my hair is like in it's natural state. I will have my roots blended in a couple of months but other than that it will be the year of growing out my damage!
  2. Spending ban? Well, not really, I'm going to have a budget though. I think it's a bit unrealistic for me to go on a spending ban because I know I will not stick to it. I'll be allowing myself $200 a month for beauty products, super generous I know but this is realistic for me, I spend a lot of money on beauty products, especially when I go to Salon Melbourne and at the end of the year when all the Christmas releases start to come out, but I want to make sure that I'm not going over this monthly budget, I can roll over anything I don't spend but once it's gone that's it, no more spending. The goal here is to actually not spend that much in 2016. If I can rein it in I will be proud of myself.
  3. Saving for a cosmetic procedure - Not sure if I've ever really talked about this on my Blog but I hate my ears. They stick out and thanks to shit kids in High School it has been something that that has pestered me for a very long time. I'd like to have Otoplasty done sometime in 2016 or 2017 so I'm going to start saving. I'd also like to have some work done on my teeth, I'm usually ok with my crooked smile but if I'm dead honest I'd really like to work towards having them straightened.

Resolutions? No.
Goals? Yes.

Before I wrap this up I'd like to express my thanks again, for supporting my Blog and YouTube channel this past year and all of your kind and supportive words. To the haters; no, I won't stop swearing. Get over it.

Please be safe while saying goodbye to 2015 and hello to 2016, see you on the flip side!

Are you making any New Years Resolution or setting any goals for 2016?

  1. I swear like a trooper. It is part of your charm lol. I had a shitty 2015 too so a big up yours to 2015 all round.

  2. I've made several "resolutions" (or intentions as I call them because I hate the word resolutions...calling them goals is even worse, I hate that word even more) for 2016, some of which I'll put up on my blog when I get around to it.

Can't say I've ever noticed a problem with your ears either, but I figure if it bothers you, then do something about it. As someone who had braces in her mid-late teens, getting your teeth straightened is worth it! I still need a couple of things done to my teeth (namely a couple of veneers + some whitening if I can do it - my gums aren't in great shape), but that'll happen eventually.

And I agree, swearing is part of your charm Hailey!

    1. Intentions is a much better word! Resolutions and also, goals, feels like setting myself up for failure. I don't like the pressure!

I'm glad you girls don't mind the swearing hahaha

  3. I'm going to try not spending as much this year too! Haha... here's to hoping!
I have one ear that sticks out more then the other and it's so annoying to me... but I would like to save up for laser eye surgery so I can properly!
    Happy 2016!
