Because why not?

Project Pan 2015 - Update #7

6 October 2015
Really excited to be writing this post! Taking a break from it last month has made me realise how much I love panning makeup products.

Illamasqua Cream Blush in Dixie - I keep my project pan items in an acrylic drawer set on my desk which sits right by my window, when we were blessed with a stunning 27 degree day in September I had a few makeup casualties, this blush being one. I'm really annoyed this happened, I'd worked so hard on this blush but now it looks pretty feral and I'm not really comfortable putting it on my face.

Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Emerge - Another one that melted, since I use this primarily near my eyes I'm hesitant to use it.

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Liner - Really liked this, I would consider repurchasing in the future (Priceline 40% off Makeup come at me!).

Avon Lipstick Samples in Island Pearl and Frostiest Mauve - Wasn't a fan of frostiest mauve because it was seriously frosty but I did like island pearl.

Designer Brands Lip Liner in Pink - I think this might have gone past it's use by date, it was still creamy and didn't smell but every time I sharpened it, it would break, since I've never had an issue like that before with a DB liner I can only assume something wasn't quite right with this one. After wasting a whole bunch of it on the final use just trying to sharpen it I gave up and tossed it in the empties.

Benefit Boi-Ing - I've used two little sample pans of this, the first one I loved but this one I wasn't really all that keen on, it could have been a little dryer because it was obviously older and that may have been why I didn't love it but I'm glad to see it gone regardless. I have a lot of concealers to get through!

Revlon Photoready Kajal Dual Ended Pencil - I hate this, the black runs like crazy and the cream colour doesn't stay put long enough for me to want to put in the extra effort applying it. I'm not going to force myself to use it. I'm just done.

Nars Sheer Matte Foundation - This makes my skin look flaky and I have oily fucking skin. I also love to use intensely matte foundations with a heavy face cream for the perfect balance of major hydration throughout the day and natural looking skin finish with bonus oil control and even then it still makes my skin look flaky! Not going to be bothered with a shitty little sample.

Since I chose to throw out quite a few items that weren't working for me (or made me feel sick to my stomach), I tossed in a few new products, marking them if I could, and started using them straight away. Usually I would wait until the update to introduce them before I started using them but time is a wastin' and December looms (just ask your local supermarket if you don't believe me, they will point you to their Christmas section)

Gorgeous Cosmetics Brow Pencil in Nouveau - This one is losing it's creaminess but the colour is great for my brows while I'm a blonde so I'm really keen to use it up, most of my other brow products are very new so they can wait a couple months until this one is done.

Gorgeous Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Christine - I pulled this out because it's about the same age as the brow pencil so I thought it would be coming to the end of it's life, turns out it's still a dream to use but considering my GC products are getting a little old I figure it's a good one to toss in.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner - This is starting to dry up, you might be able to see that it's pulling from the edges and the glossy blob in the center is Inglot Duraline (trying to revive it as much as I can. This is a good gel liner but I prefer the Bobbi Brown one and I'd like to crack open my MAC Blacktracks to give that a whirl but first this has to go. Will only work on it until the end of the year and then it's bin time!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Fierce & Tangy - Hate it, it's dry but it works well with one of the shadows in my Zpalette so this will stick around until December.

Camouflage Colour Liner - Slow going on this one, the colour isn't really something I want to wear at the moment.

Innoxa Passionflower - So pigmented! Also attracted to my teeth in a very inappropriate way. Happy with my progress, will keep going!

Maybelline Petal - Such a beautiful colour and formula, I'll be sad to see this go.

Illamasqua Loose Powder - I expected progress to be majorly slow on this one but I'm really pleased with how it's going so far.

Clinique Duo in No Show Taupes - I managed to finish the cream colour on the right, which didn't surprise me in the slightest, now working on the taupe/brown.

True All Day Moisture - No progress to show but I'm not really a huge fan of this so that doesn't surprise me at all. This may find it's way in to the bin.

Biotherm Glossy Shine in #30 - Nice little gloss, not sticky, quite hydrating. I did use it a bit but not enough to show progress, I kept tossing it my bag and forgetting about it.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - Little progress, I was playing with another primer for quite a while, trying to decide if I liked it or not.

Avon Lipstick in Skin - I stopped using this because I love the colour so much. Ha! Will defnitely finish this in October.

Benefit Erase Paste - Almost zero progress from the last update since I was concentrating on Benefit Boi-Ing but I'm going to be concentrating on this going forward.

YSL Touche Eclat - I have no idea how much is left in this.

Dermalogica Age Smart Primer - Again very little progress on this one.

Clinique Even Better Makeup - This is about half done, I really love this! This is fantastic for maturing or mature skin, or dry skin types. While my skin is in the maturing category, it's also still quite oily so I can have issues when it comes to longevity but if I prep my base well I have no complaints.

Current Usage                                                                              End of July Update

My shadows and pressed products are slowly but surely dwindling, I'll be so glad to move on to new things in the new year! Spoiler alert on the clinique shadow, I finished it a day after filming the update before I got to take photos for the blog post, I would like to either have major pan progress on those already showing pan or hit pan on something new by the next update, not sure if I'll reach any of those goals, we'll see.

Only products not shown are the perfumes, I forgot to photograph them and it's too dark out to take photos and I want this post to go up now! You can check out the video if you're desperate to see them.

So that's it for the September Project Pan update! It's strange to think there are only 3 months left in the year, three months to finish as much as possible in my PP!
