Because why not?

Empty! August 2015 (+ Project Pan Update)

30 August 2015
August was a terrible month for me, it was rough literally from day 1. My dad went in to hospital a few days earlier for some routine stuff, had a major medical emergency on Friday night that caused him to go in to cardiac arrest and I was woken on Saturday morning with the news that he was in intensive care and very critical. This started the ritual of visiting the hospital twice a day and watching the slow but steady decline of my dad. On Thursday the 6th he passed away, with mum and I by his bed. We had his funeral on the 12th and by the Sunday following that I had a seriously disgusting case of the flu which kept me in bed all week, I managed to get up and go out on the 17th, which was dads birthday.. I'm hoping I didn't pass my feral germs on to anyone who was there celebrating the birthday he didn't quite make it to.

The story explains why there won't be a Project Pan update this month, I simply didn't wear makeup enough for there to be any real progress and when I did I was wearing new items or tried and true favourites that made me feel good. I won't say I'm sorry, blah, blah, blah.. I know I have beautiful readers who understand the importance of priorities and I thank everyone who sent me well wishes, although I didn't reply please know that I received them and I'm very thankful. You guys rock!

What I do have to show this month are a small bunch of empties, at least there was some stash usage progress!

Sunsilk Damaged Hair Treatment - Only used it to use it up, wasn't good.
Repurchase? No.

Anis Double Act Curling Essence - This is meant to be a leave in treatment but it did nothing for my hair, I used it as a pre-wash treatment just to use it up.
Repurchase? No.

BHave Rescue Shampoo - The shampoo and conditioner work really well but they don't trump Kerastase
Repurchase? No.

Vivant Revitafoam - Surprisingly good stuff, great for day 2 or 3 hair that is still fairly clean but showing major signs of dryness.
Repurchase? Probably not, I'd be more inclined to buy Kerastase stuff but I'd happily use it again!

Klorane Mango Butter Shampoo - Really lovely range, using the shampoo and conditioner together gave me great results and I recommend this for anyone with dry hair.
Repurchase? Yes, I would.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment - This products price tag screams 'high end & effective' but the results mumble 'mediocre & basic'.
Repurchse? No.

Glasshouse Rio De Janeiro Candle - One of my all time favourites, passionfruit and lime fans will adore.
Repurchase? Yes.

Manicare Foundation Sponges - Just sponges, these were the round, flat type.
Repurchase? Probably not, not that they weren't good quality, I just don't think I'll be in need of this particular type of sponge in the future.

Swisspers Cotton Pads - I don't like these.. The Coles brand are just as soft and hold up better when they are wet.
Repurchase? No.

Daiso Puff & Sponge Detergent - Love this! That's my fourth bottle that I've finished, I just opened my fifth and I bought 7 more backups.
Repurchase? Always!

Edmong HoneyBee Water Cream - A lovely hydrating face gel, moisture boost without being greasy.
Repurchase? No, it's a great cream but realistically I know I'm more likely to try something new than repurchase something I've already tried.

Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner - Love this, my skin responds so well to it!
Repurchase? Absolutely.

Love Those Lashes - I explain in the video how I ended up with this, it was crap. Just crap.
Repurchase? No.

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream - Loved this, the coverage was great, as was the finish but it is a little heavy on the skin.
Repurchase? No, not because I don't like it. I just know there will always be a new base product on the market that I'm keen to try.

People For Plants Mist Toner - Another really nice toner, not quite on par with the Demalogica but great if you are on the natural product bandwagon.
Repurchase? I probably would but I'd be more likely to buy the Dermalogica Toner.

PureSmile Snail Lip Treatment in Honey - Brilliant stuff, super sticky but intensely hydrating.
Repurchase? Yes.

Peggy Sage Express Nail Hardener - Holy Grail.
Repurchase? If I can find it yes!

Now for some stuff I'm tossing out...

Kocostar Face Spot Mirror Patch - These are little sticky patches you put on blemishes, they are supposed to help shrink the spot over night. They don't do jack shit.

Bepanthen Nappy Rash Ointment - Try it for eczema! Mine expired last month so off to the bin it goes.

Skindeco Comedo AC Power Serum - This is supposed to help treat spots, it treated mine so well that more showed up every time I used it. Bin.

So that's it for August guys, September brings Spring and new beginnings, just what I need!

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.
