Because why not?

bhave - Rescue Intense Repair Shampoo & Conditioner

25 May 2015
bhave was introduced to me via Glamour Affair, I had heard of the brand before but my knowledge of the products beyond that was non-existent. When I heard squeals of delight coming from people holding the bottles in their hands I suspected I'd become a fan in the not too distant future.

The bhave rescue range uses replicine™ functional keratin®, found in the wool of New Zealand sheep to bond to the hair shaft and repair from the inside out.

Who better to test this stuff on than me? I'm going to be frank. My hair is fucked.

I have split ends, dryness, frizz issues, dullness, weak lengths and crappy elasticity. It all results in hair that is not happy and takes a lot of work and TLC to prevent it from looking heinous.

I found the best results were achieved when I followed the directions, shampooing twice and leaving the second shampoo on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse and apply the conditioner and leaving it on for 2-3 minutes before washing it out. Then I only had to get out of the shower, towel off the excess moisture and allow it to air dry. I was left with soft, shiny hair that wasn't fuzzy or dull and it felt quite nice considering the torture I put it through.

The shampoo and conditioner duo have the scent of a fresh floral & fruity combination, I find the shampoo lathers really nicely which is something I enjoy while the conditioner tricks you in to thinking it hasn't done a whole lot for your hair because it doesn't leave it feeling slick and perfectly smooth, it's not until you are out of the shower that you start to notice that it has indeed softened and aided in detangling.

Overall I've really enjoyed this duo, it doesn't trump my HG hair products but I have really enjoyed them and if you haven't discovered your HG hair cleansing products yet it's definitely a brand I would recommend trying.

bhave products can be purchased at selected salons nation wide.

  1. Sure have! I currently use this shampoo & conditioner & I really like them & rave about this brand (I know I did it here when you got the products!). The shampoo & conditioner have restored strength to my hair, unlike another leave-in keratin product I have that causes my hair to break into bits (finally figured that out when I used it last week). Just wish bhave wasn't so expensive...and I wish they were stocked in more places...but I'll repurchase both of these once I'm finished (which will be a while, I've got about two-thirds left in each bottle and that's after almost 5 months of use). The riot control serum is great too and a little goes a long way with all of the products I've tried so far - have found that out the hard way. Would love to try the mask & "fresh ends" as well.
