Because why not?

April/May 2015 Beauty Basket Update

6 May 2015
April is done and with the end of each month marks the time I have to sort through my empty products and do some tossing and recycling, There is nothing quite so satisfying as seeing a bunch of fully used products go in the bin! The following are the products I managed to finish from my current Beauty Basket project.

For those who like to watch...

I started with 12 cleansing products at the start of April, most were almost done and just needed to go, I managed to finish 5 off.

People For Plants Cleanser & Makeup Remover - I thought I had posted a review on this but I see it's still in my drafts so I won't say too much other than I'm not a fan of this.

Lancome Bi-Facil - I like this but I think it's horribly overpriced for what it is, I love to receive them in GWP packs but I wouldn't pay full price for a bottle.

Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 Cleanser & Mask - This was alright but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser - I hated this, it was so drying and I'd never recommend something like this for anyone. Avoid like lava.

Biore Steam Activated Cleanser - I didn't really feel like this was more effective when steam was involved, gimmicky, basic, nothing special.

Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat - My hatred for Sally Hansen grows but one in a blue moon they release a decent product so I continue to torture myself.

Live Clean Soothing Daily Moisturiser (Review) - This is a nice, simple moisturiser, I enjoyed it enough but I wouldn't repurchase it.

Edward Beale Moroccan Gloss Pure Argan Oil - It's not pure argan oil, it's shit. Don't buy it!

Lush Snowman Shower Jelly - I really enjoyed this but I found it difficult to handle, shortly after finishing it I found a similar product in my stash with a little bag that shower jellies can be placed in to make them easier to use.

Pure Smile Pure Bubble Royal Jelly Mask - So much fun! It foams on the skin and is like no other mask I have ever used but the results weren't anything special.

Sample packets include:

Natralia Skin Oil - Boring. I'm not really one to get excited about skin oils at the best of times, this didn't smell particularly special or do anything amazing.

Lon Vitalite 24K Gold Eye Mask - These don't wow me and I find them very run-of-the-mill.

I-Soothe x2 - Used them to remove my makeup, weren't great.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra - Move along, nothing to see here.

Jurlique Soothing Day Care Lotion - More boring day cream.

Not pictured are: 2 x Ajala Spa Conditioner samples, Inoface Collagen Mask, and 2 x Nexcare Whitening Eye Patches because I tossed them out after filming.. Why I do not know, I can only put it down to trying to be neat, tidy and organised and not realising that I had yet to photograph everything for that month.

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. All opinions are my own and based on my personal experience. Integrity Always..
