Because why not?

Project Pan 2015 Update #1

28 February 2015
I'm pretty excited about this post, when I started my Project Pan for this year I had some reservations and throughout January and early February I occasionally felt like I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do this but as the end of Feb drew closer I became more and more confident that I had achievable goals for the most part and that I could probably even step it up a bit.

I did film my Project Pan update, it's a long one but if you're like me and a huge fan of Project Pan videos you're not likely to care how long it is.

You can see my Project Pan Intro post here.

I'm going to start off with what I finished since my intro post.

Momma Bronzer in Light - I didn't like this, it was heavy on the orange.

Blinc Mascara - Not finished but I can't open it, I think product has bonded the screw mechanism together. I'm not sad, it's horrible.

Napoleon Perdis Undercover Red Lipgloss - Holy shit I finished a lipgloss. A WHOLE LIPGLOSS. There are no words.

Perfumes - Madly Kenzo, Burberry Brit, Ralp, Miss Dior Cherie. Progress picture below.

I'm surprised by how difficult Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Foundation & Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer are to finish, from watching other Project Panner's I expected these to be finished really quickly but I have realised that progress is a slow thing and patience is required. Hopefully these will be done by the next update.

I swapped out the Benefit Porefessional for the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer since the Benefit was breaking me out, I had used the Benefit very consistently for quite a while before I gave up on it and had made good progress and I would be confident saying that what is in the Laura Mercier Tube would be about the same as what was left in the Benefit tube.

The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is going strong, some days I think it's empty because I struggle to get product out and other days I get big chunks of product on the wand, I'm considering cutting it open and depotting it for ease of use.

Benefit Erase Paste has hardly been used and has no visible progress, the Bobbi Brown Gel Liner is never ending, I thought I was close to the bottom but when I stuck a pointed cotton tip in the center I realised I had a long way to go.

I have resigned myself to the fact that the Illamasqua Cream Blush in Dixi will be in this Project Pan until the end of the year, the pigment is intense and I'm no where near finished. The Momma Blush in Brilliant Rose is almost done, the colour is so beautiful and the pigment packs a punch but I hate that it's a loose powder.

The mascaras battle on, I believe the Clinique High Impact Mascara should be done soon and I'll likely toss the Model Co. Fat Lash after the next update because it's becoming a little flaky and I don't think it'll last much longer.

I have shadow progress! The far left bottom corner holds a Sugar Baby shadow which I managed to get a lot of use out of while doing trial runs for the Come Play With Me challenge while the dark brown next to it is just simply a shadow I have recently fallen in love with and can't stop using.

I've used other shadows in the palette but not made and significant progress on them. Also the Sugar Baby shadow in the far left corner has found it's new home in the bin since it's horrible and I'm not going to waste my time on it any more.

Shadow progress photo below.

My last shadow is MAC Brule, on the left is my January starting point and on the right my current progress, I'm going to work on those wider sections and then repress it when I feel the need.

Australis Tint My Brow is going strong, I have concluded that I don't like it any more, the brush holds too much product and the stopper doesn't remove the excess so I find I constantly have to squeeze the brush between tissues to prevent massive product deposit on my brows.

Tony Moly 7 Day Brow Tattoo is still a favourite and I suspect will last quite some time as it's still fairly new.

The eye pencils show little progress, I've been enjoying the Estee Lauder Artists Eye Pencil in Slate Writer and that has seen some use but the Rimmel Scandaleyes Pencil is still hated and rarely used.

My lip products have seen a little use, I mostly favoured the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Flirty Honey. The Clinique Chubby Stick in Chunky Cherry has broken at the bottom of the stick so I have my eyes set on getting that one done first.

Before I wrap this post up I want to introduce some new products, these are all items I've been using in conjunction with my original Project Pan team and I've had the mindset to use them all up as well so I figured it would be best to include them so I could monitor my progress easier.

These base samples have been stacked in my drawer for quite a while and I'd like the pressure to be on to use them.

Top left is the Natio Mineral Pressed Powder in Medium Tan, the fall out of this is crazy and I reckon more comes off the brush and gets blown out of the tray than ends up on my face.

To the right are two Giorgio Armani Samples, on is like a BB cream, the other a highlighter.

At the Bottom is the YSL Touche Eclat in 2, don't like it and it's basically full but hopeful that I will find a way to use it.

I'm adding in 2 more lipglosses (because I know I can eventually finish them!) Benefit Who Are You Wearing and Gorgeous Cosmetics Fairy Shine, both full.

I'm adding another concealer, not because I need to but because this is all alone in this palette and I fear it will never be used unless I include it and hold myself accountable for it, Benefit Boi-ing in 01.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup has been in my stash for a long time and I've used it less than a handful of times so this is going in too, I also need foundation options because I'm going crazy wearing the same thing day in and day out.

Sine I finished most of the perfumes I included in the intro post I'm throwing in some more, I've got Diptyque Jardin Clos, Emporio Armani Night, Tommy Hilfiger Tommy, Armani/Prive Cuir Amethyste and Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey.

I know the perfume samples look pathetic but these are actually very helpful in keeping me on track with my Project Pan, they make me feel like progress is being made when I can't see obvious progress with my makeup items so these will always be added to each new update because they are kind of like my saving grace when I'm feeling like I'm struggling to stay on track.

And finally I'm adding in some new lip products, Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey, this has been missing forever but I found it in the deep recesses of the bathroom (it slipped in a groove behind the sliding mirror on the bathroom wall cabinet), I wasn't planning on adding another lipstick type product but this is starting to smell like it's on it's way to going bad so I want to include it and get as much use out of it as I possibly can. I've got two lip liners, both by Designer Brands, a red and a pink. In future updates I will use this piece of paper to measure progress but I think I'll have to re-do it so my spacing is better. Still learning!
