Because why not?

All Natural - Organic Mask Sheet in Broccoli & Houttuynia Cordata.

23 January 2015
I have this weird thing going on with sheet masks, I really like to own them, touch them, organise them and look at them but when I have to use them I almost feel a little sad, it's kinda like the first time I use a new eye shadow palette, there is an internal battle going on.

I found it really difficult to find info on these products that I could actually read but I'll let you know what I know...

The mask it's self is made from Tencel which is made from wood pulp, in this case they used Eucalyptus tree pulp which makes them biodegradable, when I realised what they were made from I have to admit I was surprised, they are soft on the skin and hold the moisture in so damn well. I wore my masks for well over the recommended 10-20 minutes and they stayed moist.

All of the masks in the range are free of artificial preservatives, fragrances, mineral oil, colourants, surfactants, alcohol and silicone. I did try to look for the full list of ingredients for each mask but I wasn't successful.

The broccoli mask benefits are: Skin resilience, whitening, anti-ageing, moisturisation with vitamin C and beta-carotene (rich in vitamin A).

The sheet is soaked in essence which means that it sticks to the face really well, you'll also find some extra essence in the bottom of the bag which you can squeeze out and apply to your neck, chest and hands if you like.

The scent of the mask definitely isn't broccoli but more like rose water I think, it's a little too strong for my preferences but then again I don't really like the scent of rose in skin care so that's something to keep in mind

I think the biggest thing that I noticed with this mask was a softening of my lines, I have a particular one between my eyes because I tend to have a horrible resting bitch face and also my smile lines (because I do that a lot too), they were still there because it's a sheet mask, not a magic wand but they were definitely softer.

I allowed the essence to soak in completely and my skin was feeling slightly sticky for a while but once it was completely dry my skin felt wonderfully soft and nicely moisturised.

When it comes to the whitening side of things this didn't do much of anything compared to some of the other masks I've used so don't let that scare you off, there was a slight brightening of the skin but I didn't end up a new shade of white after removing the mask.

The broccoli mask was a winner and I'd definitely use it again, especially before a special event.

Houttuynia Cordata

Houttuynia Cordata translates to Fishy-Smell Herb (Thanks to Jacqueline for pointing that out), I was actually a little hesitant to open this once I learnt that little gem of info but for the sake of beauty I went ahead. Turns out it smelt nothing like fish!

Houttuynia Cordata is also known as Fishwort and when it comes to skin benefits it has anti-fungal and detoxification properties making it great for breakouts.

This particular mask made my skin feel super hydrated and my skin looked a little brighter, over the course of the next few days I felt like my spots cleared and healed just a little faster than I'm use to, again, it wasn't a magic wand but I did see that the mask had it's benefits after using it.

Overall I quite liked these, they weren't the most amazing masks I've ever used (Lonvitalite wins so far) but if you're looking for affordable masks that can be used regularly then I would recommend them, they are sold in sets and work out to be about $2AUD each.

All Natural Organic Sheet Mask Set (4 masks) is available for purchase on Tester Korea for about $8AUD
