Because why not?

Blogmas - Memebox: Special #54 Miracle Masks

6 December 2014
I was always a bit envious of the Memebox mask boxes, I always seemed to miss out on them so when Miracle Masks was released I jumped on it thinking it would be one of the best boxes I had received.

Turns out many of the boxes that I've received recently have been either mediocre or just plain shit.

Miracle Masks contains 7 mask products which sounds pretty good but 3 of them are single use masks, when you are use to receiving multiple single use masks as one item in a box this turns out to be a little disheartening.

If you would like to know more about Memebox you can check out my Memebox Info page (December code is up and running!).

#1 Purederm Cucumber Eye 24 Pads Full Size RRP $12
I'm sure everyone has seen similar products to these, they are little cotton rounds that look like cucumber slices, soaked in an essence that smells like artificial cucumber and you just lay them over your eyes and have a little lay down. I don't have little lay downs, if I do I lose my groove and the day is done so laying down with patches over my eyes is a bit of a nightmare idea for me.

My tub also wasn't sealed properly and it leaked a little so my box was a bit damp and there is only a small amount of essence left in my jar, it's enough to keep the pads moist though so I'm not really bothered by that. I'll try these out but it's not something I want in my usual routine, if I want to lay down for beauty treatments I go to the salon.

#2 LadyKin Vanpir Dark Repairing Water Mask 50ml Full Size RRP $46
Ahhh this! This is the best product in the box and saves it from being a total shit heap! This anti-wrinkle, firming and repairing sleeping mask is made from 'dragon's blood resin' which come from a tree in the Amazon, I'm super excited to have this and I love the simple but clever printing on the packaging, I haven't opened this up because I have a few masks on the go at the moment and I want this to stay fresh.

#3 ddung Vitamin Wash-Off Pack 120ml Full Size RRP $12
This looks like it's going to be a simple hydrating vitamin mask, I'm not really excited by this, I received a Ddung cleanser in My Cute Wishlist 3 and have yet to try it but I've not heard any rave reviews as of yet so I'm not itching to try something from the brand, this is just a bit meh for me and I'm not convinced it's a 'miracle mask'

#4 Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack 180ml Full Size RRP $16
Received one of these in Global 15 and heard only good things about it from people with damaged/dry hair so I'm ok with having a second one of these, even if it's not suitable for treatments it can be mixed in with my hair colour for a little hydro boost while colouring, it certainly won't go to waste.

#5 To Be Nang Snail Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask 51g Full Size RRP $5
I really love hydro-gel and bio-cellulose face masks but they can be a little bit expensive, especially when you haven't used the brand before and can't find reviews in English so I am happy to have received these to try but I'm super annoyed that each mask was listed as a single full size item, technically they are full size items but I would prefer to receive one along with other masks by different brands because this helps me to 'spread my wings' when it comes to beauty products. This is a basic snail mucus mask so it'll be great for hydration, I swear, I will never have dry skin issues again.

#6 To Be Nang Gold 24K Snail Nutrition Hydro Gel Mask 51g Full Size RRP $6
This one contains the snail goop and gold, making it good for soothing, renewing and rejuvenating damaged skin, I'm not sure how much of this 'gold has beauty benefits' stuff I believe but I'll give it a go before playing Judge Judy.

#7 To Be Nang Snail Anti-Wrinkle Face & Neck Mask 61g Full size RRP $3
Another snail mask, this time it's like a 3 piece suit for your face and neck, I'm not down with masks that are more than one piece, I can just see it all falling off my face and neck while I'm walking around the house but I will at least try it out, you never know, I might be raving about them next.

Overall I do think this was a pretty shitty box, the only thing I'm loving is the Vanpir Mask, while the hair mask will be useful and the sheet masks are good but I wish they had switched up the brands. I would likely buy another mask box to see if I could get lucky with better curation but only if I had some points to soften the blow if it turned out to be a bad box.

Cost of box: $23USD + $6.99USD shipping
Memevalue: $100USD
What I paid: $17.99USD
