Because why not?

Blogmas - Empty! November 2014

2 December 2014
November wasn't really a month for finishing things, it was a month of opening new stuff, after finishing my Project Pan last month I was so excited to try some of the things in my stash but I did manage to finish off some things that had been haunting me for months.

Kerastase Resistance Bain De Force (Review) - This stuff is a (hair) life saver for me, it coats the hair shafts in a protective formula that prevents breakage and promotes a softer, smoother feel to the hair. If you have heat or colour damaged hair this shampoo will be a good mate to have in your life.
Repurchase? Most definitely, I'm just waiting for my bank balance to get over the shock of my recent shopping madness and also trying to use up a few hair things in my stash.

Head and Shoulders Smooth & Silky Shampoo - A few times a year I get dandruff, I mostly notice it with the change of a season so I always have a bottle of this on hand, I like the scent of this one and also it really does help the hair to feel smoother and silkier than other dandruff treating products that I've used.
Repurchase? Yes, at the moment I'm using up a few H&S samples that I have but when I'm all out this is always the one that I buy.

Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner - I'm still running around with pastel hair and as long as I continue to want to do that I will buy this to use as my mixing medium, I've recently had to buy a standard Tresseme conditioner because it's been out of stock at my local Chemist Warehouse.
Repurchase? Yes, the other types just don't compare to this one, it's perfect for applying pastels to hair and it lightly hydrates without being so heavy that you have to shampoo your hair after colouring which is a nightmare when it comes to putting pastels in your hair.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar* (Review) - Oh baby Jesus this took me forever to use up. First it was on my sink for daily cleansing, then I got sick of it and put it in my shower for occasional lazy cleansing, then it had to come back out of the shower because I needed to use it up and get it the hell out of my life. This is an ok cleanser, personally I found it just a little drying for me but it wasn't so bad that I couldn't use it but now that it's finished I'm so happy with life.
Repurchase? No, I'm so tired of the sight of it!

Puretopia Refresh & Balance Hydrating & Soothing Facial Mist & Toner (Review) - This product has a lot of 'and's' going on in it's title but I can't even be sure it did anything let alone 'and' anything else, I just used it to use it up.
Repurchase? No, it was too 'nothing' for me to want to own a whole other bottle.

Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamins & Extracts Scrub - This smelt lovely, cleaned fairly well and wasn't too drying but as for the scrubby bits I found them to be not really impressive, I prefer a finely milled scrub that polishes the skin over a chunkier scrub that just feels like it's scratching the skin.
Repurchase? No.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (Review) - This smells like dirty socks and does nothing.
Repurchase? No.

Kosmea Radiance 24/7 Youth Boost - Ugh, I did NOT like this stuff. The formula is quite difficult to smooth over the face, so I was either pulling at my skin or applying too much, I don't really like yanking my facial skin all over the place because it's going to sag, stretch and wrinkle on it's own over time and when I opted to use extra product so I could apply it easily it would clog my pores and cause breakouts. Fuck this shit.
Repurchase? You couldn't pay me to use it again.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner - Initially I loved this so much that I went and bought a back up but then I noticed that it's longevity was pretty shit on my eyes so I tossed my unopened backup in to a care package for a women's shelter, I think my oily lids was breaking this down after just a few hours wear and I didn't have time for that.
Repurchase? No.

Bomb Cosmetics Mandarin & Orange Cleansing Shower Butter (Review) - I loved this, citrus scented things weren't really my jam but this changed my tune. Problem was it lasted for EVER and I got sick of it, I like my products to last but not almost a whole year.
Repurchase? Possibly in another scent but only if they do smaller tubs because I don't want my body cleanser to be mocking me in the shower all year long.

Sanctum Body Sooth - Smelt crap but was a great formula, absorbed really quickly, didn't leave a shitty residue and left my skin feeling moisturised enough that I was happy.
Repurchase? No.

All Natural Organic Mask Sheets in Broccoli & Houttuynia Cordata - I can't say much about these because I have a review coming up soon.
Repurchase? At the risk of spoiling my review post, yes and no.

Multi Effect Collagen Honey Mask (Review) - This was nice but didn't really have any WOW factor but these are really inexpensive and a great way to help hydrate the skin quickly and feel like you are doing something nice for your skin.
Repurchase? I think I already have.. I have a order on the way and I think it contains one r two of these.

Swisspers Original Cleansing Wipes - These are always in GWP bags at Priceline and I always use them up when I'm doing swatches for the blog but these particular ones never touch my face these days because I think they are fucking shit for me skin.
Repurchase? No, if I get them free I'll use them but I will never actually buy them.

GlamGlow Bright Mud Eye Treatment - I can't say anything about these because I have a review coming up.
Repurchase? Nah, too expensive for me.

Daiso Precision Tweezers - I used these to help apply eyelashes, we recently had a plumber come to fix a few things in the house and he asked if I had a pair of tweezers he could use since one of the taps was in bad shape, I gave him these because I knew they were inexpensive and easy to replace.
Repurchase? Yes, definitely.

Peggy Sage Express Nail Hardener - This is the best nail strengthening product I have ever used, I was given two bottles by one of my mum's friends, she got them from Greece and knew I was a beauty product junky so she occasionally passes things on to me to try. I want to review this product so badly but I can't find a single place that will ship them to me and I don't see the point in talking about an amazing miracle product if my readers can't buy it. This stuff has changed the life of my nails, nothing that I have tried compares to it in any way what-so-ever and it's a step above Holy Grail status for me. If you ever see it in your shopping adventures please let me know or buy me a bottle or ten because I want more of this so bad that it hurts!!
Repurchase? If I can ever find it yes!!

TruValue Makeup Remover Pads - Slowly but surely the bags of these decrease, I may have opened my last one just recently but I haven't checked the storage space where I keep things like this so I might sill have a couple to get through.
Repurchase? No, they are shit.

So there it is, the shit I used up in November, I'm so pleased to have got some of those items out of my life!

Do you get bored of products that last too long?

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. All opinions are my own and based on my personal experience. Integrity Always..

  1. Damn! I now want that nail hardener :)

    1. It's so good Indie, my nails grow (slowly) but they split and break when they get to a certain point. That nail strengthener makes my nails grow at about twice the rate that they usually do and stops the splitting, it also makes them a lot stronger so they don't break when I'm doing heavy manual work, I just adore it!

  2. Kerastase is the bomb! I have loads of half used up products which have been mocking me all year long (and probably longer) as well. You are not alone! :)
