Because why not?

Blogmas - Empty! December 2014

30 December 2014
Another month is done and dusted which means it's time for the Empties, I'm always quite impressed at the amount of products that I manage to use up and since it's the last Empties post for the year I'm going to do a little large tally and let you all know how many products I used up through the whole of 2014.

Kerastase Cristaliste Lait Cristal (Review) - I loved this conditioner, it's targeted at those with long hair and helps to keep it hydrated without being heavy and also to promote smoothness and prevent tangling. Couldn't recommend it enough!
Repurchase? Yes, most definitely. I'm just waiting to recover from Christmas before I make another order.

Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo - I don't know why I bothered with this, I hate Pantene and after using this I still hate it.
Repurchase? No.

Head & Shoulders Itchy Scalp Care Shampoo - I have a bunch of these mini sample bottles, I don't mind this type, the cooling effect is quite nice but I prefer the Smooth & Silky range since I don't actually get an itchy scalp when I get dandruff and my hair responds to it better.
Repurchase? No, I'll use up the bottle I have but will choose the Smooth & Silky over this range.

Kerastase Nectar Thermique (Review) - This stuff is fantastic, if your hair can handle a heavier leave in treatment then this is your jam, I alternate between this and another Kerastase leave in depending on how my hair is behaving at the time.
Repurchase? Yes.

Mi Click Manuka Honey Treatment - Oh man I loved this, it was hydrating and it detangled my hair while making it soft and smooth, I received it in a Memebox (Unboxing & Review) and really want them to stock it so I can buy more!
Repurchase? Yes!

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Smoothing Mask - This is old, I found it in the bathroom which seems to be the harbourer of secret beauty products, it's like when the washing machine eats your socks and they disappear forever, perhaps they are in cahoots and whenever the washing machine steals a sock the bathroom materialises an old beauty product. Anyway I gave it a sniff and checked the consistency and then proceeded to use it between hair experimenting sessions so as not to waste my good stuff. It actually worked really well, I think it's like a good wine, it got better with age.
Repurchase? No, I don't recall this product being very impressive when I first purchased it and if this did in fact get better with age I'm not going to get the same thing off the shelf these days.

Neutrogena Ultimate Sport SPF 30+ - This was a good sunscreen (I never had any burning issues while using it) but it's so damn thick and difficult to rub in.
Repurchase? Maybe, I'd like to try something new but I might go back to this if I don't find something else I prefer better.

Pure Smile 3 Step Bust Pack (Review) - I received this in a Memebox (Unboxing), it was fun, cheeky and a bit silly.
Repurchase? Yeah I would, I don't feel it's really a necessary product but I would love to toss some of these in presents as gag gifts for my girlfriends.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist SPF 30+ - This spray on sunscreen is great but what I found particularly impressive was that a very fair friend of mine who often gets burnt even when she is wearing sunscreen can use this and happily be out in the sun without having to worry about burning. The fact that you spray it on and then quickly rub in makes it super quick to apply and leaves out the mess factor of normal cream sunscreen.
Repurchase? Yes, I actually have to grab one today for my little New Years holiday Yaaaas!!

Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo Hand Cream - This had such a strong scent that I struggled to use it, it's a shame really because it was an otherwise really nice hand cream!
Repurchase? No way!

Issey Miyake A Drop of Cloud - This was also old and I have no idea where it came from (bathroom mystery), I checked the scent and consistency and decided to finish it off, I love L'Eau D'Issey and have a bottle of the perfume so I didn't really want to just throw it out, it smelt and performed just the way I remember it.
Repurchase? I don't think they make it anymore.

Garnier Gentle Cleansing Milk (Review) - Hated this, hated it so damn much.
Repurchase? No.

TruValue Makeup Remover Pads - This is my second last pack!! I'm almost done!!!
Repurchase? No, never, never ever ever!

Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening Mascara - This is a nice mascara but for the love of God it just wouldn't quit!! I was using this for a lot longer than I should have but it just never dried up or stopped performing the way it should. I'm throwing it out because I suspect it has some strange voodoo powers going on because this little sample should not have lasted as long as it has.
Repurchase? I probably would, it's a really nice mascara.

TonyMoly Mr. Smile Patch (Review) - Received in a Memebox (Unboxing). This was really impressive and I enjoyed the results!
Repurchase? Yes, for sure.

CareDent EeziFlossers - These are the best! I found packs by a different brand in Chemist Warehouse that have 50 in a pack so I grabbed 3 of those (they have normal, mint and whitening) so I'm currently working through those.
Repurchase? Yes!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (Review) - I don't even know what this is supposed to be.. I think it's a moisturiser that deals with spots? It never dealt with any of my spots or did anything other than annoy me every time I looked at it.
Repurchase? No.

Malin & Goetz Lip Moisturiser - This is a really hydrating lip balm, best applied at night for soft, supple morning lips. Downside is that it's sticky.
Repurchase? Maybe, I have a lot of lip products!

Garnier Men Aqua Fuel - Neighbour gave me this, it's an overseas release and I really enjoyed it, it had a super duper cooling punch, I kept it in the shower and would occasionally use it on my body as well on super hot days.
Repurchase? Don't think I can.

Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist - Rosewater spray, nothing special, I used it as a toner. I'll also be keeping the bottle because it has a super fine mist spray.
Repurchase? Probably not.

Oxy Emergency Zit Blitz Gel - Old, not empty. I also remember it being crap.
Repurchase? No

Epiduo - This is a prescribed spot treatment and not quite finished but it expired this month so I'm tossing out what's left.
Repurchase? Already have a backup.
