Because why not?

What's On My Bedside Table?

12 November 2014
I love having a little sticky beak in to other bloggers lives and posts like this are a great medium for doing that, so today I thought I would share my own.

Warning; It's boring.

My bedside table is an Alex 5 draw from Ikea, it's significantly bigger that what I really need for a bedside table but I needed the extra storage for makeup, small electricals and other shit, I'm not going to show you the contents of the drawers because it's not very exciting at the moment, if you wanted to see a full makeup storage post I could organise it for the future.

The main stuff I keep on here are my daily vitamins and the beauty products I like to apply before bed.

  • Nature's Way Multi-Vitamin VitaGummies - I have a thing for gummies, these are so good.
  • Healthy Care Super Hair, Skin & Nails.
  • Cenovis Mini Bursts in Energy & Immune - These are fun but I wish they stated on the packaging that they contain artificial sweetener, I would have avoided them like the plague, they taste like shit because of it. If you're sensitive to artificial sweetener stay right away from these.
  • Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia - Pretty crap but I'm trying to make a dent in it.
  • John Plunkett Eczema Cream - I have a form of eczema that only effects the hands and feet (how does it know!?!?), my hands haven't been effected for months which is awesome but my feet still need TLC.
  • Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream - Love this stuff but fuck it's messy, slowly making my way through it.
  • JR Minerals Healing Balm - I love this for everything, it's just a bunch of oils combined with vitamin e.
  • Advantan Cream - Sometimes I have allergic reactions to products, most commonly roll on deodorant, I remember when it first developed I got so much bad advice from doctors that I ended up in hospital. It wasn't until one doctor finally sent me to a local dermatologist that I got help. That was weeks and weeks of hell that I went though and all I needed was to use a simple cream, it was cleared up within days and I have since discovered deodorants that I can use safely. I haven't had a flair up in years but I always keep a tube nearby just in case
  • Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo Hand Cream - Nice but fuck me this is heavily perfumed.
  • Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturiser.

I always have a book by the bed, I have trained my body to recognise reading as a sleep trigger. I'm currently reading about World War II, love me some history.

And finally a micro SD to USB converter, the SD card reader on my laptop no longer works so I use this to transfer photos for blogging, I try to always place it on my bedside table because it's small and I have a tendency to misplace it and have a temper tantrum.

What kind of things do you keep on your bedside table?

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated.
