Because why not?

Project Pan 2014 Update #2

1 September 2014
So I've made it through another month... Kinda... Maybe not really.

I'll talk about my months purchases at the end of the post, for now lets take a look at all the empty bottles, jars, tubes and foil packets I've been hoarding throughout August.

#15 Schwarzkopf Extra Care Dry Conditioner Spray* (Review) - This was alright, although I like the product I thought the scent was pretty crap.
Repurchase? No.

#16 Nivea Intensive Moisturising Body Lotion - Oh dear Lord above this took me half a lifetime to get through. This is like the never ending pack of Tim Tams except it's a run of the mill moisturiser that just would not give up! I'm so, so glad this is empty and even more pleased that it is discontinued. Praise Jesus. (Didn't hate it, just so bloody sick of using it!)
Repurchase? God no, I can't even stand the sight of it anymore!

#17 Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser - Balancing my ass. This should be called 'bastard drying cleanser that will make you dry and oily at the same time'. I used this a handful of times on my face before deciding I just couldn't stand it any more and it was demoted to a hand wash. As a hand wash it did a good job though.
Repurchase? Never!

#18 Eleven Australia 3 Minute Repair Rinse Out Treatment (Review) - Blah.
Repurchase? No, waste of money and space.

#19 Diggers Isopropyl Alcohol - Favourite personal brush spot cleaner, does an awesome job of removing product buildup between deep washes.
Repurchase? Already have.

#20 Pristine Oils Custom Blend (Review) - Loved this! Having a custom cleanser is pretty neat and if you're a fan of oil cleansing I highly recommend giving this Aussie brand a go.
Repurchase? Yes, I would, but this is a project pan and you can probably imagine the build up of cleansers in my stash. *cries*

#21 Biodroga Energising Formula Eye Fluid* - This did nothing for me, perhaps it was hydrating but other than that I saw absolutely no change in the skin around my eyes.
Repurchase? No.

#22 Nivea Pure & Natural Regenerating Night Cream (Review) - This month I learnt that I don't like Nivea face creams for many reasons. This was demoted to a body cream, there it worked really nicely! The skin on my body has never looked so nice!
Repurchase? No, no, no, no.

#23 Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Colour - LIES! It does chip. It also takes a whole day to dry properly and I have to make my way through a whole other bottle. Ugh!
Repurchase? Good Lord no!

#24 Seche Restore (Review) - Awesome product, love, love, love it!
Repurchase? Definitely will, just don't need it right now.

#25 Max Factor Xperience Volumising Mascara - I quite liked this and it reminded me that Max Factor make pretty decent mascaras.
Repurchase? This one has been discontinued and I have about 8 unopened mascaras and 4 that are open and need to be used up. Priorities!

Deluxe Samples

#26.1 L'Oreal Revitalift Milky Foam - This was surprisingly nice, it foams up really well but isn't drying at all. If you like a foaming cleanser but need hydration this is something you should seriously consider!
Repurchase? Yes I would.

#26.2 Laprete Okuru Mild Cream Facial Cleanser & Toner (Review) - This is nice but it's not worth it's price tag. Cold hard truth, this product is above it's self.
Repurchase? No.

#26.3 Lapurete Okuru Resurrection Night Cream (Review) - Again, nice but nothing special.
Repurchase? No.

#26.4 Vagisil Feminine Wash - I just used this as an all over wash, I kind of think the 'target' of this wash is a bit silly and pointless. As a body wash it's actually really nice though.
Repurchase? This is hard for me, it's a really nice cleansing gel and I liked it but I don't really like the idea of buying a cleansing product aimed at the vagina, I just think the concept is kind of stupid and I don't want to encourage stupidity.

#26.5 Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer - If it wasn't for Hoola Bronzer, They're Real Mascara and Erase Paste I don't think I would not be a fan of Benefit, I feel like a lot of their stuff struggles to even compare to a lot of really cheap brands available on the market and the only reason that I think I like them is because they make a few saving grace products. I hated this stuff and if it was a person saying goodbye to me right now I'd be replying with 'Bye Felicia'.
Repurchase? *Vomit* No.

The other crap

I won't be adding these items on to my total, some aren't quite empty and others I just feel don't count and would be cheating to add them to my 50.

Kleenex Flushable Fresh Wipes (sample) - These are like grown up baby wipes. Seriously. Big kid dirty bum cleaners. They were ok but I still prefer normal toilet paper, I think if you're in such a state as to really need these after using the bathroom it might just be time for a shower.
Repurchase? Maybe if I was camping, I'm sure there are other times when these might be seriously handy but I haven't felt they are really necessary in my day-to-day life.

CareDent EeziFlossers - I always buy these, they are the best!
Repurchase? Already have and forever will.

Ansell Multi-Purpose Disposable Gloves - These are just standard gloves but stupidly expensive, I purchased them because the gloves I buy from the trade store give mum a bit of a rash, she must be sensitive to the powder in them. Anyway I no longer need mum to help with the bleaching of my hair so I finished off this box and am glad to see them go!
Repurchase? No, supermarket gloves are shit.

Formula 10.0.6 Overnight Success Spot Patches - These aren't quite finished but they have expired. I reviewed these here, I'm glad I didn't pay for them and while they were mostly crap they did work on one or two of my spots. Fun to try.
Repurchase? No.

Glade Candle - I threw the box out and can't remeber the scent, I'm not even 100% sure it was a glad candle, all I know is it smelt really nice, burnt evenly and was up there with the better supermarket candles I've tried.
Repurchase? Yes I would.

Nude By Nature Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer - Ugh, I hate Nude products like I hate Napoleon, face products in jars and people that are cruel to animals and children. Yes it's that drastic. Never will I buy another Nude product.
Repurchase? Never.

JR Minerals Sandy - Not a nice quality mineral shadow and very old. Bin time.
Repurchase? No.

Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous (sample) - This is almost empty and I did try to finish it but it's just dead set yuck. It smells like old plastic, has a greasy finish and texture and it's confused, I feel like it wants to be a foundation, primer and moisturiser in one but failed at all of these aspects. It's gross.
Repurchase? You couldn't pay me to ever even consider using it again.

My purchases for the month included:

Floss, conditioner, girl things (which I mention because mum and I had such a joyful time tormenting a guy who got stuck in the isle with his girlfriend, seriously, highlight of the month). I ended up spending a small fortune on Kerastase products (some for mum) and got my hair did; I'm moving in to phase two of what I can only describe as my hair mid life crisis and since it's been so damn long since I went to a proper hair dresser, I didn't have an issue with the cost, also 6 star hair salon and a hairdresser that actually seemed like she gave a fuck? Yes please, I'll take two thanks!
I also finally found OPI Glitter Off in a trade store and didn't have a problem spending $8 on that along with two Macadamia Healing Oil Treatments for $4 each (again, one for mum), both things I could have lived without but I figured I didn't go buy that new Bobbie Brown Shadow Palette or the By Terry foundation I've been drooling over so I justified the shit out of that $16 wallet blowout.
I purchased a Yankee Candle and two melts at the Spotlight 30% off sale, I don't consider candles to be an issue for me, I don't have many at all and it was a good opportunity to try a product I wasn't sure about.
Finally, my really naughty purchase(s)... Memeboxes. No one told me they would be so addictive and I'm lost in the dark abyss that is the Memebox website. No, no, don't help me out, I'm actually quite happy here. I will feel guilty about it when they arrive, until then I care not!

Recap:
July Finished 14 products
