Because why not?

Project Pan Update #1

1 August 2014
So I'm one month in to my Project Pan, so far it's been really easy, my stash is full of products that I'm excited about trying so any time I spot a Priceline or Mecca and get the urge to buy something I take a deep breath and walk right on by, when I get home I look over my unopened products and I feel much better.

This months post will feature quite a few empties, I went through everything and pulled my half empty products out to be used up first, I made a huge dent in those products, some didn't quite make this post but they are soooo close to being empty so you will definitely see them next month.

I also made a nice little pile of old products to be tossed out, they won't be included in my PP products but will feature at the end of this post.

#1 Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner x2 - So I actually finished 3 large conditioners this month.. Excessive I know. Since I CO wash and also use this as a mixing medium for my hair colour I go through this quicker than any product at the moment. I'll be counting two of these bottles as one product otherwise my PP will be made up of 30 of these friggin' things, I will include the other bottle I finished in next months post just so I can have whole numbers and don't get confused with how many products I've finished. I love this stuff!
Repurchase? Yes and already have (I bought 3 bottles this month. Three.)

#2 John Frieda Full Repair Deep Infusion - This stuff is amazing, I reviewed it here and I don't think my review does it justice, the more I use it, the more I love it.
Repurchase? Already have and will continue to do so until I find the next amazing product.

#3 Manic Panic Ultra Violet - This has lasted me months! I use it as a toner and more recently as one component of a Manic Panic Mixture that is now my Lavender and Steel Blue hair. Great stuff.
Repurchase? Already have.

#4 Dirty Works Coconut Scrub - Reviewed here. Liked but didn't love, some more Dirty Works Reviews coming soon.
Repurchase? Maybe some day.

#5 Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Facial Cleansing Oil - Great place to start if you're interested in a cleansing oil, reviewed here.
Repurchase? Most likely someday I will,  believe some other brands are starting to release cleansing oils so I'd like to try them out first.

#6 Dermalex Repair - Use this on my feet because that's where I get eczema, how convenient of my body to do that to me *rolls eyes*. Pretty decent cream but not amazing, I'm yet to find something that really impresses me.
Repurchase? Possibly some day, I have a lot of different creams in my stash though.

#7 Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron - Love this and reviewed it here but I think my skin responds better to Rosehip oil.
Repurchase? Maybe some day, I'll stick with the RHO for now.

#8 Swisspers Oil Blotting Sheets - These are fantastic and a staple for me, I went through a phase where my skin was perfectly balanced for a few months but it's decided to be a shit again so I finally finished this packet.
Repurchase? Yes, I purchased a different brand from Daiso so I'm well stocked but the swisspers are superior.

#9 Bella Pierre Makeup Remover - (Hidden behind the deodorant) This was super old and so not suitable for using on the face but I did use it to loosen up excess product from brushes before I deep cleaned them, for that this was a gem!
Repurchase? No.

#10 Artiste Brush Cleaner - This was not full of Artiste Brush Cleaner, it was full of Isopropyl and found it's way there after the original bottle it was in had a massive malfunction and made a stinky mess in my room, praise Jesus this is out of my sight!
Repurchase? The Artiste cleaner isn't too bad actually but no. Just no.

#11 Listerine Total Care Mouth Wash - Love this, staple product that I'll never be without!
Repurchase? Already have.

#12 Rexona Clinical Protection Deodorant - Love this stuff so much, I swear it's the only thing that work on my sweaty little body.
Repurchase? Possibly.. I'm trying out the Dove one at the moment and it's winning because it smells amazing!

#13 Coles Nail Polish Remover - Just nail polish remover, nothing special.
Repurchase? Most likely.

#14 Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat - Holy Grail. There is still a tiny bit of product in there and I tried desperately to get it out but the bottle just wasn't having it.
Repurchase? Already have.

So there you have it, 14 products out of my 50 have been used up. I've bought nothing except things that I needed this month (mouth wash, floss, deodorant, conditioner and oil blotting sheets) and I'm really happy with how I'm going so far. I suspect next months update will be significantly smaller than this but I'll get there!

The rest of the post will just be me typing about crap because I can *nods head repeatedly*

Airwick Ribbons Winter Lights Candle - I had a little stock pile of these candles (and others *sigh*) because the scent is just divine and they were limited edition and, and, and.. just.. CANDLES!! I've got my eye on some other candles but I am trying to resist the urge... When I started my PP I didn't even consider candles being included but I felt a little guilty when the thought of buying some crossed my mind, I only have 3 candles left so I don't think I'm really out of control there. BUT I certainly won't be buying any more of these stupid Airwick Ribbons, the bastards don't burn evenly and THAT'S SUCH A WASTE OF DELICIOUS SMELLING WAX! I'm a little pissed about this.

The Old Stuff

While organising my stockpile and going through open products I found a few ferals that have been hiding away.

La Roche-Posay Hydreane - Moisturiser that broke me out, Oh how I tried to make it love me only to be disappointed in it's ability to give a shit about my skin.

L'oreal Nude Magique BB Cream - This isn't horrible but I just have a small little bit of hatred for BB creams (and the other double letter products on the market). I'm not sad that this is going.

Max Factor Silk Gloss Tube - Don't even ask me how old this is because I truly have no idea.

Mirenesse Velvet Lip Lift Moisture Shine - another thing that I hate; sticky lipgloss. Vomit.

Some Sort of Lip Smacker Product - I reckon this is about as old as I am.

Mineral Colour Correctors - Don't know what I was thinking when I purchased these last century. Horrible.

Designer Brand Nail Polish - Old, don't/won't use.

Witch Blemish Stick - Crap and old.

I'm pretty happy with my little clean out, I feel like there are more products that I should throw out but I find it difficult to let go, especially when I know it was a really great product and once upon a time I loved it dearly but I'll get there, every day I remind myself of the fact that I have too much and it's time to clean house.

Oh and my pile update...

So it's has both shrunk and grown. *Sigh*
The box in front was a bunch of products hiding in one of my storage boxes, mostly small samples which i'd like to try before I decide if I'm going to keep them or pass them on.

One of the girls on the BH forums suggested that I have a blog sale.. I didn't think I had anything worth selling apart from one or two items but it turns out I have 2 small bags of products that are new and will never be used or slightly used but not suitable for me.. Would you guys like to see a blog sale?

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. 1. Yes, definitely do a blog sale for things you won't use, etc!

  2. Èczema-dexem when irritated/itchy, nyal eczema cream or avene cold cream for moisturising. Mine's on my hand, and after a lot of trial and error this set up works for me

  3. I love to see a blog sale :) hopefully you will have one soon
