Because why not?

Subscription Box - Red Pawpaw June 2014.

25 June 2014
I have decided that I really like having food delivered to my door. I have also learnt that I don't like to share this food. It's mine. All of it.

My Red Pawpaw box miraculously appeared in my house this month, the Package Fairies were obviously hard at work again because I found another package on my bed shortly after getting home. There was no tracking number this month but I guess Red Pawpaw are still finding their feet and to be perfectly honest I don't care about the details as long as my box is finding it's way safely to my house.

Gravox Cracked Pepper & Barossa Valley Shiraz Gravy (RRP $3.80) - Look at this fancy shit! I love me a good gravy but cracked pepper and red wine aren't usually my first preferences when I'm choosing a flavoured gravy, nevertheless I'll eat this, perhaps I'll wear a monocle and smoke a pipe while I do. Fancy.

Ovaltine Cold Crunch (RRP $5.27) - It's been a hell of a long time since I've had Ovaltine anything. Not sad to own this.

Uncle Tobys Crunchy Triangles Chocolate X3 (RRP $3.00 for a pack of 10. 3 mini packs in box estimated at $0.90) - I couldn't help but eat a packet of these straight after opening my box. Really good, little wafer chocolate triangles filled with a soft chocolate center.

White Wings Blueberry & Buttermilk Pancake Mix (RRP $5.50) - Love pancakes, happy to have another ready made pack in the cupboard. Also see that Salted Caramel and Chocolate cupcakes are an option in the magazine, quietly wanting those right now.

SPC Spaghetti Tomato & Cheese With Hidden Veg (RRP $4.83 for pack of 4. 1 can in box estimate at $1.20) - I have to laugh at the sneaky veg thing, is this how we pretend things are healthy now? That aside, it'll be a good lazy snack on toast. Nom.

Goulburn Valley Peaches In Coconut Water (RRP  $2.20) - Coconut water is right up there with the most disgusting things I have ever tasted, I think I hate it even more because it sounds deceptively delicious. Not sure that I'll eat this.

Uncle Tobys Oats Quick Sachets Creamy Honey x4 (RRP $5.50 for a pack of 12. 4 included in box estimate at $1.83) - Love oats, happy to have these for lazy snacks.

Adriano Zumbo Passionfruit Macarons (RRP $8.79) - My oven doesn't work, I am so sad face. I'll probably make up the batter and eat it while I cry over my oven.

Nescafe Azera Smooth Instant Coffee (RRP $10.99) - We go through way too much coffee in this house, so not having to buy a tin is a super bonus win.

So the value of the box comes out at approximately $40.48 (Coles & Safeway pricing), not too shabby hey!

Did you box differ from mine this month?

  2. I had to laugh at your commentary! I kind of regret not signing up earlier now...I managed to refrain because I have wayyy too much crap in my flat already and not enough people to eat it...then I tried to and it was all full up!

I really like the look of what you got in this box! There's stuff I'd definitely try.

    1. I hesitated a little before signing up too but being food I thought it would be ok, half my box has already been consumed and it arrived just 2 days ago so I was certainly right about that!

It's an absolute bargain, I think this is one that I'll stick with until it either dies or their price is no longer such a bargain for me.
