Because why not?

Priceline Skincare Goody Bag 2014.

20 June 2014
Went shopping with Nalini from The Made Up Maiden yesterday, we spent a good chunk of the day at Chadstone talking about girly things and perusing the stores, just what I needed after my nightmare week!

The main purchase that I wanted to make while there was a small Priceline haul to qualify for the Skincare Goody Bag, I skipped the last 2 (hair and makeup) because they were full of stuff I wouldn't use but this one sucked me in, also I really enjoy blogging about these sorts of GWP, I get to touch pretty things!!

Some of the items are substitutes for what is pictured in the advertisement, I'll put the original product in brackets where applicable, I didn't photograph the bag it's self because it doesn't fit in my light box and I had no natural lighting to take advantage of, it's a nice change from the usual black bags though! Oh and the boring details: Spend $65 or more over participating brands to qualify for your free bag.

Ok I'll shut up so we can look at the stuff!

Face Cleansers

Biore Steam Activated Cleanser - I'm a bit of a fan or Biore products, I'm not majorly confident that this will be anything more than a foaming cleanser, especially since I don't have my showers extremely hot but it smells good and I'll use it. (Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser)

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser - Not a fan of the Neutrogena Naturals range, will likely pass this on to a friend.

Puretopia Smooth & Renew Gentle Exfoliating Face Scrub - Love Puretopia and accidentally purchased one of these to qualify. Derp. Hopefully I love this as much as I love the other products I've tried!

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Cleanse & Exfoliate Wipes - Always need wipes (they usually go to mum), I can't even remember the last time I actually paid for them though, they just keep coming in to my life. (Essenzza Cleanse & Refresh Wipes)

Swisspers Original Cleansing Wipes - More wipes, this is a travel pack of 5.(Swisspers Cucumber Wipes)

Body Cleansers

Sanctury Spa Body Scrub - Used it, reviewed it, will use it again. Free scrub yay.

Derma Sukin Daily Gentle Wash - This is meant to be Sukin's more natural sister brand isn't it? (do correct me if I'm wrong). I use a Sukin moisturiser in my freelancing kit, it's always a big hit so I'll give this a go, supposed to be suitable for the face and body but I'll likely just use it as a body wash.

Hope's Relief Goats Milk Soap - Love Hope's Relief, love goats milk anything. This will get use!

Hand & Body Lotion

Nivea Anti Age Q10 Plus Hand Cream - I don't use a lot of hand cream and have a bunch of unopened tubes but I'm always giving them away so it will sit in a safe dark place for a while before it finds it's forever home on my bedside table or in someone else's house.

Beauty Essentials Hydrated Everyday Body Lotion - Smells a little too baby powdery for my liking, might pass this one on to someone who will appreciate the scent more.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Intensive Relief Concentrated Hand & Body Cream - Ahhh more Palmer's, I have such bad luck with this brand! I will give it a go though since it's aimed at sensitive skin, I can't seem to give up on this brand. Also got a sample of the Moisturising Lotion from the same line.

Swisspers Naturals Aloe Everything Balm - Ehh I would have preferred the item pictured in the advertisement but I do like using balms on my knees, elbows and eczema flair ups so this will get used. Now that I've looked inside and given it a smell I like it even more. (Swisspers Aloe Soothing Eye Cream)

People For Plants Mist Toner - Excited to try the brand, toner wouldn't have been my first choice but I'll give it a go, I am trying to get in to the routine of using one so hopefully this will help motivate me.

Thursday Plantation Macadamia Oil - Love oils but after reading the packaging and having a sniff I'm not as excited as I originally was. Says it's good for the face and body, to rinse or tissue off excess (why?) and it stinks of lavender, which is the second ingredient. Super mega sad face. Might try, might just give to mum, also might cry.

Manuka Doctor Sample Trio - This just contains 3 little sachet samples. I looked for the Manuka Doctor range but they didn't have it in stock at the Chadstone store. So disappoint!

Avene Eau Thermale - I always have a bunch of these handy, I like to take them travelling and they go in my Brides care packages, not sad to receive another.

Dr Lewinn's Firming Eye Cream - I'm always keen to try a new eye cream and this is a decent sized pot.

Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream - Love trying new night creams too and excited to try this brand.

Montagne Jeunesse Juiced Cucumber Peel Off Masque - Love me a good peel off mask! It's always fun to pretend your skin is coming off your face in sheets don't you think? (Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pack)

The Other Stuff

Suvana Organic Paw Paw & Honey Balm - I'm not sure why but I don't generally like paw paw balms, this is gonna sound weird but they piss me off. Anyway I tried this and it pisses me off too but it has this slight sweetness to it from the honey and that I like! I'll likely give this a go for a week and pass it on to mum if I don't fall in love.

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream - Not a cream. Balm. BALM. I already own one of these and I do like it so now I have a backup. Happy.

Model Co Face Tan - Won't use. Ever. Will see if it will suit a friend.

Simple Kind To Eyes Makeup Corrector Pen - This should be fun to try and I'm not sad to see it in the bag, the type of thing I'm generally curious about but wouldn't purchase.

Yes To Carrots Lip Butter in Berry - Haven't been overly impressed with Yes To products but I'll give this a go, lip balm is the kind of thing you want a million of because you can never find one.

ChapStick True Shimmer in Botanical Berry - Smells good, will use.

The Crappy Crap

They must be swimming in these products and I'm gonna say it, the mirror is crappy, the eye pencil is crappy and the bag is kinda crappy but I will likely use it. I feel like these products have been popping up everywhere lately and it was just a matter of time before they were thrown at me while MP ran away giggling that they 'got another one' haha!

I'm going to save my qualifying goodies for my monthly haul post, otherwise there will be no monthly haul post!

Did you pick up the Priceline Skincare Goody Bag? What item are you most excited to try and how did your contents differ to my bag?

Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying. Items marked * were sent to me for trial and consideration, all other products were purchased by myself and I am in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. All opinions are my own and based on my personal experience. Integrity Always..

  1. great post, I grabbed the bag as well, and I thinnk my contents were pretty spot on, and I tink the exact same as yours.

I think first on my must try list from it is the Thursday plantation macadamia oil, I've been coveting that stuff for a while now, but just kept putting off getting it.

    1. That's what I love about these types of bags, they usually contain something you've been wanting to try and haven't allowed yourself to purchase or you get to try new brands and find new favourites. Such a bargain!

  2. Omgsh I really want to pick up one of these bags but I don't know what I should buy to qualify haha

    1. I struggled choosing too! I made a little list the night before but when one of the items on my list wasn't stocked it threw the whole thing out the window!
