Because why not?

May 2014 Collective Haul.

3 June 2014
I've been thinking maybe I do need to go on a spending ban.. But then I thought Fuck It. Life is going quite smoothly at the moment which is nice.

Made a trip to Mecca Maxima, Mecca Cosmetics & Kit Cosmetics this month, grabbed two more Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders in Dim and Ethereal and decided to finally try the Mario Badsecu Drying Lotion which I so far think is bloody crap.

And yes I will be buying the rest of the AL powders.. I'm avoiding touching the blushes because my list is long enough as it is.

Ended up at the Priceline 40% off hair sale, I didn't really intend on buying anything but I saw the last lonely John Frieda Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion and it kind of looked sad and pathetic in it's crushed little box. I'm wondering if the product is actually being discontinued because in it's usual place was a product that looked the same but was in a spray bottle, if it's not the same stuff with different packaging I will be pissed because it's the only hair product that I have been satisfied with recently (review here), anyway at the end of the shopping trip I realised I only paid $3 for it which is waaaay more than 40% off, I'm treasuring my manky looking best mate!
This trip to Priceline was really disorganised, usually I would take a list and whittle it down to a few 'much wanted' products while I'm in the store but it just so happened that I was out with mum and we decided to pop in. For mum it was a very typical trip to Priceline, she ran around rubbing samples of every skin care product she could find on her body and face while yelling out to me at the opposite end of the store to 'COME LOOK AT THIS', then she finally come running up and told me about these three skin oils she had found and how they felt so wonderful and were made for different issues and blah, blah, blah. We agreed that we would go through the hair section and on our way to the register I'd have a look and tell her if I thought it would be suitable for her. Then she started rubbing all the hair oil samples in her hair, my mum is like a small child in a candy store when it comes to samples, God love her.

Mum and I have started sharing a lot of the hair products I buy since we are both bleached blondes and she seems to have taken a serious interest in makeup, beauty and hair products since I got my qualification so on this trip I sort of let her take the reins on this one, she showed interest in the Edward Beale range and I easily followed suit because the packaging is really nice! We chose the Argan Oil Leave In Treatment and Pure Argan Oil spray.

I spotted the Schwarzkopf Extra Care Liquid Silk Leave In Treatment because the packaging sucked me in and after using it I regret the purchase, there are just too many words about how much I hate this product so expect a review soon.

And finally the Napro Sheer Moisture 1 Min Intensive Mask caught my eye and as soon as I picked it up mum was all grabby hands and excitement, we nearly cleaned out their whole supply, these are quite nice but I don't think offer enough moisture for me.

On our way to the register mum was ushering me to the skin oils she had found, they were a new release product and I instantly saw that they were all the exact same product but set up in a three tierd way, I told mum that it was all the same stuff.. She went quiet and looked at me really seriously and said in a low voice "I rubbed a squirt of each on my face while everyone was looking at me". I couldn't stop laughing. At least she wasn't dipping her fingers in jars this time.

I've been seeing these little candles at Aldi and finally decided to grab one to see how the perform. Shit, that's how. Review here.

And while having the tint replaced on our car windows I found a little Missha shop in Boxhill, after touching the face cleansing brush I couldn't resist, it is the softest thing EVER, the girl was so sweet to me and tossed in some samples based on what I had told her about my skin.

With Chemist Warehouse running a 50% off cosmetics and vitamins sale I obviously had to take advantage, first trip I left with 3  Revlon Balm Stains and a Matte Balm, second trip I grabbed a Lacquer Balm because I figured I had to at least try one, a spare Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner. Also grabbed a bottle of Tresemme Naturals Moisture Conditioner since I've decided to give CO washing a go and finally, Gummy Vitamins because why not? (Delicious).

Just as I was finalising this post the delivery man knocked on my door and delivered this beautiful baby, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (AKA The Wardrobe). So Stunning.

One last item I received but didn't bother photographing was an Estee Lauder Corporate Store Pass so I think I'll put some money away for a little shopping spree with that lovely little gem.
