Because why not?

Empty! March 2014.

31 March 2014
There are a few people in my life who make comments about the amount of skincare and makeup that I own and purchase each month, usually these comments consist of "do you really need that?", "don't you already have that?", "you have a problem" and "stop buying shit!", these comments mostly come from my mum because she sees my collection regularly and she is more often than not the person that I shop with. I have started showing her my bag of empty products at the end of each month and she has slowed down with her comments, although essentially she is right, I do have a problem but I do really need that and even though I already own several of those I need more.

I actually didn't get through much this month, it's mostly samples and staple products but I have such a big collection of them that I'm happy to make a little dent in the pile.

Hi Lift Blue Bleach - Yup, I've used half a kilo of bleach on my hair since the last few days of December, sounds excessive I know but going from almost black to white blonde takes a lot of product (not to mention a lot of time!).
Repurchase? Bleach yes, the brand possibly. I really like this one and unless the SA at the place I purchase can convince me otherwise I'll be sticking with this.

Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner - I only use it as a mixing medium for my toner or if I'm putting a pastel through my hair because I think that's all it's good for, it does nothing for me in terms of hydrating my hair.
Repurchase? If it's the cheapest available at the time of purchase then yes.

Rexona Clinical Protection Ultra Dry - I really love these deodorants because they actually work but fuck me I'm sick of the packaging! I can see where a whole bunch of the product has been pushed down in to the packaging and it frustrates me that it's going to waste. This stuff isn't exactly cheap when it comes to deodorants and I'd really like to be able to use it all up.
Repurchase? Already have because I don't want to be a sweaty pig.

Colgate Total Mint Waxed Dental Floss - A staple that I'm so bloody sick of. I hate flossing my teeth, I end up with half a cup of spit on my hands, dribbling down my chin and pooling on my boobs. I have discovered those little hand held flosser thingies and they have changed my life. Never again with this crap!
Repurchase? Never!

Coles Nail Polish Remover - I just buy whatever is cheapest at the time, this was fine and did the job when I needed the job done.
Repurchase? Quite likely.

Daiso Detergent For Puff & Sponge - Love it, have many backups.
Repurchase? I doubt I'll need to buy more for the next 12 or so months.

Anumi Selections Miracle Recovery - Not finished but outside of it's recommended usage date. Time to say goodbye.
Repurchase? No, I'm sold on Rosehip oil and wouldn't be likely to deviate from that.

Philip Martin's Shine Rose Hair Serum* - It was ok, made my hair shiny and soft but once I started bleaching my hair this did nothing for me but by that time it was so close to being empty that I wasn't shedding any tears.
Repurchase? No, it's not super cheap and doesn't do anything for me now, it would be like setting my money on fire.

Rescare Aqua Exfoliator - A liquid facial exfoliator that makes your skin ball up and fall off your face. Was a novelty at first and then I got sick of it and had to go through that "Uggghhhh when will this product END??" phase. Well finally it ended last week and I can move on.
Repurchase? No, seriously it lasted for ever and I'm sick of looking at it!

Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream - Amazing, wonderful, fantastic! This is my dry skin saviour! Full review here.
Repurchase? I'm sure my skin will start to dry up once the cold weather sets in so I'll likely be grabbing this in a few months time, for now I need to make a dent in some of my other night creams.

Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo & Conditioner (x3) - Used these for bleaching and toning purposes, they are otherwise useless for me.
Repurchase? No, they just don't do anything for my hair.

Lancome Genifique Yeux Light-Pearl - Loved this and was sad when it was empty. Saturday Sample review here.
Repurchase? Please God, bring me the opportunity to increase my income so I can keep products like this in my routine!

Caviar Overnight Hair Rescue - It wasn't close to enough to cover my hair properly but it smelt nice and did leave my hair feeling quite nice.
Repurchase? Ehh probably not, I have a backlog of hair products to try out and I can see this being forgot about before it's time to buy something new.

Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream - So meh, I'd prefer to buy Lush's Angels on Bare Skin, it's gentle, cheaper and more effective..
Repurchase? No, expensive and crap.

Alpha-H Micro Cleanse - Not bad, works quite well and left my skin nice and smooth.
Repurchase? Probably not, I liked it but not enough for me to need it.

Alpha-H Essential Hydration Cream (x2) - Nice but not what I would consider hydrating enough.
Repurchase? Nope.

Gatineau Melatogenine Serum - Again meh, it was nice enough but obviously there wasn't enough product to tell if it actually works or not and I'm not willing to take risks on expensive products unless I know they deliver.
Repurchase? No.
