Because why not?

Overview: Tinted Sunscreen Moisturiser Thingies Part 2.

Today I'll be taking a look at part two of these all-in-one type products, if you're interested in part one it can be found here.

Nude By Nature Natural Tinted Mineral Moisturiser With Sunscreen.

RRP $24.95AUD for 50ml

Claims: The Nude by Nature Natural Tinted Moisturiser is available in two shades to suit your summer or winter glow. The antioxidant-rich formula contains natural sunscreen to ensure your skin is protected.

I don't really like Nude by Nature products but I had this one sitting there so I figured I should open it up and give it a go along with the others I owned, who knows it might surprise me right!?

I'm not sure what colour I have as it doesn't state it on the tube but it's fairly light so I'm gonna take a guess and say it's nude beige (nude tan is also available) it suits my skin tone fairly well so I can't complain about that. The consistency is of a medium thickness and it feels quite light on the skin, it dries to a matte finish fairly quickly which I really like, I had this bright idea that maybe it would be slightly builable and tried to apply another layer, my God was that a mistake!?! The first layer started to ball up and feel like peeling skin under the wet product and I was wondering if I had suffered some sort of ninja sunburn that had gone unnoticed but on closer inspection I could see it was just dried up product. I dusted away what I could while trying to salvage a somewhat wearable face because life outdoors was beckoning and moved on from the fail.

When I was applying the product I noticed it has a distinct fake lemony scent, while running errands I could still smell it on my face up to an hour after applying. I'm sure I've smelt the same thing while using Nude products in the past so perhaps it's a bit of a signature scent of theirs? With and without moisturiser I was happy with how my skin felt throughout the day, I wasn't dry or tight which kept me quite happy.

The coverage was alright but I still avoided making eye contact while out because I didn't want to know if people were looking at my face.

Would I buy it again? No. I didn't like that the scent lingered and it got all peely and bunchy on my face when I tried to add more and I'm super suss about the sun protection factor, it doesn't state what level of protection it has or even if it's UVA and/or UVB which personally makes me not trust the product whereas all the other products I tried clearly stated that they have both UVA and UVB protection and the level of SPF. I doubt I'll even use this one again.

Mecca Cosmetica In A Good Light 30+ Luminous Tinted Facial Sunscreen.

RRP $50.00AUD for 125g

Claims: In A Good Light SPF 30+ is a luminising, tinted facial sunscreen providing broad spectrum protection against harsh UVA and UVB rays, in a light, matte-finish cream. This multitasking wonder, in a universally flattering shade, gives skin a sheer tint whilst imparting a natural radiance so skin appears ‘lit from within’- not glittery or shimmery. The non-oily and non-whitening formula contains hyaluronic acid, pomegranate extract and vitamin E, to keep skin hydrated whilst protecting against destructive environmental damage.

This one ticks a lot of boxes, for starters the packaging is great, it comes in a pump bottle but the actual pump is of high quality so even if you only want a tiny bit of product you can gently depress it without squirting product everywhere, I find one pump is perfect for my face and half a pump is just right for my neck, when I wanted just a little extra for around my eyes I could easily get just a tiny smidgen without having to concentrate to make sure I didn't use to much pressure, it just works so damn nicely, there are so many good products on the market in cheap shitty pump bottles and this one just impressed me.

The formula is a medium in thickness but very light on the skin and does have what I consider a natural matte finish, it's not shiny at all but it's not so matte that your skin looks weird.

The tint is sheer but does seem to offer a little something extra with the luminising side of things, it's by no means glittery or sparkly and it's very subtle but it seems to blur some small imperfections and that teamed with the tint provides just a little extra 'coverage' than similar tinted products, not quite as sheer as the Estee Lauder Day Wear and no where near as much coverage as the True Solutions but when this is teamed with sunlight it's really not bad. The scent is like a floral sunscreen, it's ok but doesn't have me jumping up and down with joy.

As for the colour being universally flattering I'm not going to give that my backing because I just don't believe it's possible. It works well both over moisturiser and without it, I quietly prefer it without (who am I becoming!?!?).

Would I buy it again? This is a tough one, I do like it but I'm it's not totally amazing for me, it certainly deserves a good review because it meets a lot of it's claims but it doesn't quite hit the mark on coverage and scent personally.

Now it is confession time, after trying out these tinted moisturisers they are starting to grow on me, or more the desire to find a Holy Grail tinted moisturiser is growing on me, I'm thinking I want something that smells like the Day Wear, covers like the True Solutions and illumnises like the Mecca Cosmetica, Nude can keep all it's stuff, I don't desire any of it. Someone can do that for me right??

What is your all time favourite tinted moisturiser with sunscreen?
