Because why not?

30 January 2014
So this is my first favourites post, I'm not really sure how to go about this, I only browse through favourite posts personally because I find they enable me horribly and my ever growing list of stuff that I need to buy gets seriously out of control, anyway that's beside the point, lets look at the stuff that was blowing my mind this month.

Foundation: Giorgio Armani Designer Lift. I Saturday Sampled this and my opinion hasn't changed, it's amazing. Having said that I swatched some foundations in Priceline recently and I think I have to give some of them a go, they looked impressive.

Mascara: Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill and Benefit They're Real. I can't choose, they are both awesome.

Lips: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. Ahh I love these! My particular fave at the moment is 005 Crush. I aim to own these in every colour.

Eyes: Naked Palette. I keep having these thoughts of purchasing #2 & 3 but every time I open my original one I feel like nothing can top it.
Benefit Cabana Glama Eye Shadow Trio (pictured below top right). Awesome quality and a set I find myself reaching for quite often.

Bronzer: SugarBaby Shimmering Bronzer and Benefit Hoola. Hoola is my go to for contouring and the SugarBaby bronzer is great for dusting over my cheek bones on a no makeup day.

Concealer: Benefit Boi-ing in 02. This stuff and my skin get on like a freakin' house on fire. As you can see I'm due for a new one.

I have a shit tonne of hair products on the go at the moment but some I've only started using recently so I'm still getting a feel for them.

The Tangle Teezer Salon Elite is ah-may-zing, I can't even tell you how much love I have for this brush, review coming next week.

L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil has been impressing me but I think I found something a little better suited to my hair, never the less this is still pretty damn good and it's something I'm often using.

This one is a bit pricey but the L'Oreal Professional Expert Silver Shampoo is really floating my boat by keeping my silver bits silver.

Not pictured is Melrose Organic Coconut Oil Butter, so amazing for a deep conditioning and repairing hair mask, I use it about twice a week, applying generously the night before I wash my hair and just leave it in overnight. Probably the main reason my hair is still doing ok and not snapping off all over the place.

Skin Care

I'm still love, love, loving my Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream and Rosehip Oil Antioxidant+, you can read a full write up here. I really need to find something new for the day time because I'm not really impressed with anything I'm currently using.

When it comes to cleansing I'm having a lot of fun, the Puretopia Whisk Away Cleanser is a great all rounder, review coming next week. My exfoliators of choice are Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant and Clearasil Rapid Action Deep Pore Scrub, both great but if I were asked to wish for a never ending supply of just one the Dermalogica would win.

I have a deadly obsession with glitter polishes right now, OPI Liquid Sand in Jinx is probably my favourite thing in the whole wide world right now, closely followed by Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Big Money.

Aaaaand the best top coat of all time goes to Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Amazeballs.

Fave brushes go to Real Techniques Buffing and Contouring Brushes, Manicare Angled Brush, my new Eco Tools Brow and Lash Comb because it's the only one I own that doesn't have teeth missing from the lash comb and last but certainly not least, Illamasqua Angled Face Brush which by the way, is a damn nice 'does-it-all' brush.

I'm also currently obsessed with my own personal use Zpalettes, Although I didn't have a whole lot of stuff that needed depotting, it was nice to be able to put them all together and I did make quite a bit more room for new things, because you know, I really needed the encouragement to buy more stuff.

Finally, the Daiso Detergent For Puff & Sponge, this stuff is really pretty cool, it cleans so well but rinses away so easily, love it, if you see it in your local Daiso don't be scared to buy a few.

What were your fave this month? Go on, ENABLE ME!! I'm gonna buy stuff anyway, they may as well come with recommendations!!

If any Beauty Bloggers are reading this I'd love some tips on a better layout for these types of posts!

All Products were purchased by myself and I'm in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.

  1. Some fantastic looking things, the real techniques brushes sound so great, everybody raves about them. I have both the naked 1 and 3 palettes and I'm torn between the two, I love the golden shades for my tanned skin, but the pink tones make my hazel eyes look amazing.

    1. I'm a big fan of the RT brushes but I have to be honest that some of them aren't my idea of fantastic, I'd like to get at least one of each from the range and do an overview of them all but that's going to require me to stop spending money for just a little while so I can justify the purchase.

I really should buy the other 2 naked palettes as well, so many people ask me if they are good, what do they look like, are they worth it, etc, etc and I feel like I should be able to tell them but I just can't justify the cost! I got my naked overseas so it was fairly inexpensive and forking out the extra money to buy it here annoys me!

  2. Omg, such great products, totally enabled here! :)

    1. haha! It's so bad isn't it!! That's why I try to avoid favourite posts, I would shop myself in to bankruptcy if I let myself go!

  3. Loving Benefit Rockateur at the moment. Have also discovered Stila Stay All Day illuminating balm plus Benefit Hello Flawless powder applied with the RT buffing blush give me a beautiful glowing foundation without looking cakey or my redness coming through.
