Because why not?

Empty! January 2014.

31 January 2014
Another month, another bag of trash! Let's take a lookie loo at what's going in the bin today!

Schwarzkopf Live Colour Silver Toner: Great toner but you need a lot of it, works well to give light and medium blondes that nice ashy colour and definitely makes pale blondes a white/silver. Foil packets really rub me the wrong way.
Repurchase? Not likely.

Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Blonde Toner: Great toner, similar to the silver toner but the results aren't as vibrant, I'll review this hopefully sometime in February, I want to be able to get before and after shots for you.
Repurchase? Yeah for sure, this is a nice toner for all blondes.

Nourish Naturals Eczema & Psoriasis Cream: It worked ok but had no wow factor for me, also the colour was funny and I reckon it stinks.
Repurchase? Nope, would prefer to try something new.

Macca Cosmetica Showered With Praise Softening Body Wash: I reviewed this and just nope.
Repurchase? No thanks.

Grace Cole Passion Fruit & Guava Shower Gel: Another one I reviewed last month, smelled lovely but not my cup of tea.
Repurchase? Probably not, the formula isn't what I look for in a body wash.

Melrose Organic Coconut Oil Butter: Amazing, amazing, amazing, can not live without!
Repurchase? Most definitely and I better do it soon before I finish off mum's jar as well.

Schwarzkopf Dry Shampoo: Not bad, I reviewed it here.
Repurchase? No, I really don't like the scent.

Vichy Oligo 25 Eyes Anti-Fatigue Cooling Effect Stick: Review here. This was fun! I scooped out the last of the product and placed it in a little pot so it didn't go to waste when I reached the 'end' of the tube but the novelty is gone, now it's just a nice eye gel/balm hybrid
Repurchase? I probably would if it were readily available in Australia but as far as I'm aware I'd have to have it shipped here and if I'm going to go to that trouble then I'm going to try something completely new.

Puretopia Whisk Away Rehydrating & Misturising Creamy Face Cleanser: Amazing, love it, review coming first week of Feb.
Repurchase? Yes and I really have to do that soon. I'm trying to incorporate products from my Best in Beauty prize but I like to have favourites on hand just in case.

Clinique All About Eyes: Reviewed this one too. Really nice eye cream but it's just a really nice eye cream in my opinion.
Repurchase? No, I'd like to try some new brands first.

Dove Silky Nourishment Body Cream: This was really nice but I don't think they make it any more or the packaging has changed?? Anyway this little guy and my skin got along great and I think I'd like to try some more Dove body products.
Repurchase? Dove yes.

Janesce Softening Wonder Cream: So this was a little sample that came with my Beautorium order late last year, it smelt so intensely of roses that I could not friggin' stand it
Repurchase? Hell no.

L'Oreal Base Magique: I swear I am sick to death of this primer, get it out of my life. Oh and I did Saturday Sample it. I feel like I should say that it's not a bad primer I'm just so over it!
Repurchase? No, please give me something new to play with!

AlphaH Balancing Cleanser: Saturday Sampled this too. It's a nice cleanser and I liked it but I'm not in a position to spend that much on just a cleanser.
Repurchase? No, not yet anyway!

Didn't finish off much this month really but I did open up a lot of new products so I think it'll be fairly quite on the Empties front for a while.. What were you really glad to finally finish up this month?

All Products were purchased by myself and I'm in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.

  1. Coconut oil is the best thing ever! I also really disliked the Janesce sample, it was so watery and didn't smell good at all.

  3. The Schwarzkopf Live Colour Silver Toner looks great, but I'm not willing to buy 3+ packets to do my hair. That would be too costly :(. Shame about that since the results are impressive... guess I'll just stick to using a purple shampoo :)!

    1. Yeah completely agree, it's a good product and the results are quite long lasting (have been for me anyway) but having to spend around $30 for toning at home is pretty ridiculous, there are cheaper options!
