Because why not?

Blogmas: November 2013 Collective Haul.

1 December 2013
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me.. A bunch of goodies! (not really).

For the month of December I'm going to attempt to celebrate blogmas, I'm not making any promises though, I've been flaky when it comes to this blog lately so there is a good possibility I'll stuff it up. Really I'm doing this for totally selfish reasons, I'm excited about Christmas and I want to enjoy this month so I decided to make my little sanctuary away from the world a big part of this month so hopefully I'll be more inclined to sit down, relax and it'll be able to remind me about everything that's great in my world right now. What better way to start than to look at the crap I bought this month. It's not a lot, don't get excited just yet.

First up I needed body wash and sunscreen. Turns out I didn't actually need either I just needed to look through my drawer of unopened products properly. eye roll

Grace Cole Passion Fruit and Guava Body Wash, LeTan 15+ Coconut Oil, Neutrogena Ultra Sheer 30+ Body Mist.
Chemist Warehouse is usually my go to place for stuff like this unless Priceline is having a sale, I just like to save money when I can.
The Grace Cole body wash is something I've neither seen nor used before but it smells good. The Neutrogena body mist is awesome for touching up sunscreen applications without the bloody mess and if you're a part of the sunscreen mafia and you're seeing red over the coconut oil, calm down.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation in 220 Natural Beige, Essence I love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara, Essence All Eyes On Me Multi-Effect Mascara, Essence Silky Touch Blush in 50 Sweetheart, Essence Match 2 Cover Cream Concealer Duo & Essence Stays No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner Pen.

Priceline had their 40% off makeup products sale this month and while there wasn't really anything I needed or wanted I thought it would be a good time to try some stuff I've been wondering about.

Believe it or not I've never used Revlon Colourstay Foundation before.. After colour matching myself in store I left with a colour that is ever so slightly to light for me, pretty impressive for a makeup artist hey! /sarcasm. It's completely my own fault, I knew when I was matching that my neck was slightly lighter than my face and the rest of my body at the time because I'm starting to develop a tan. The colour will be absolutely perfect in winter but for now I'll have to warm it up with a bronzer. First impressions are pretty average, I've fallen in love with this so it'll take a small miracle for me to be impressed. It's wearable and I don't have break out issues but it doesn't excite me.

I picked up a tiny little arsenal of Essence products and have tried them all a few times, so far the blush is winning, the mascaras are ok, concealer doesn't make me jump for joy and the eyeliner pen is pretty awesome but I thought it was a pencil and wasn't paying attention.. I don't really like pen style applicators, I'd prefer a brush any day.

I'm super keen to try more Essence products.. all of them in fact, I definitely want all the blushes without a doubt! I expected nothing from this brand but for super inexpensive cosmetics they are actually pretty decent. I didn't realise the sale included nail products, otherwise I would have picked up some of those to try as well.. Next time Priceline.. NEXT Time!

Some stuff that isn't pictured is deodorant, I know, I know, you're all pissed that I didn't photograph this. Here is a picture of some dogs to make up for it:

I also picked up some Christmas stuff, for myself and others. Obviously I don't want to show you that stuff just yet, some family members know about my blog and I like to keep gifts a secret if I can. Everything I bought for myself will be in my Christmas Haul post on Christmas day :)

Did you haul anything exciting this month? Any suggestions for products I should keep an eye out for this month?

All Products were purchased by myself and I'm in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.

  1. Great haul! The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer is my go to sunscreen but I use it in the normal sunscreen form, not the spray. I've heard great things and not so good things about the Essence concealer so i look forward to your review
