Because why not?

Indeed Laboratories - Hydraluron.

It's not often that I will give the Holy Grail title to a product, in fact I'm a firm believer that there is always something better out there and that probably applies with this product, but right now, with my skin looking the way it does, you'd be damn hard pressed to get me to try something new in this products place.

Hydraluron is massive right now and I totally fell for it, I spotted it at Priceline and happily handed over the $34.99 for it.

For the first few days I was like 'What the hell are these beauty bloggers on about?' I had a break out, my skin went from oily to dry and I was not impressed but I stuck with it, mostly because I now wasn't dealing with oily skin so I knew it was doing something up there, I just wasn't convinced it was a good something. After a few days I tossed aside my usual moisturiser and pulled out a heavy duty vitamin E cream, I had dry patches and I needed to fix it ASAP.

I washed my face as usual, applied my Hydraluron, smoothed on my eye cream and then the vitamin E cream. I felt revolting, it was so thick and heavy! I usually reserved this stuff for my ezema flareups but I knew it was good for all over, I just had to put up with it.

Next morning I'm expecting an oil slick but my skin was looking good! My dry spots felt a bit better and I hadn't had any new break outs.

I continued using this routine every night (it's been about 3 weeks now), during the day I do exactly the same thing except I use a lighter moisturiser, something that absorbs quickly and won't hinder makeup application. I'm seeing results, big, Big, BIG results.

Firstly, the oil my face use to produce doesn't exist any more. My skin always feels hydrated but never looks shiny. For years I've been an oil slick all the time. Now I am a glower, a fresh faced glower.

Secondly, the breakout, it cleared within a few days, I firmly believe this was caused by the Hydraluron because it's the only thing that changed with my skin care but I haven't had a single issue since.

Thirdly, the dryness is gone, I also believe this was caused by the hydraluron but only because my moisturiser wasn't up to scratch, it was designed for oily skin so I don't think my face was getting what it needed now that the Hydraluron was doing it's thing.

And finally, the big one, the be all and end all that makes this my Holy Grail serum and will make me kill to keep it in my routine.. My lines, stupid nasal labial lines that have developed, a frown/scowl line between my eyes that, no joke, would rival any 80 year olds facial lines and my forehead 'surprise' lines. They are going, going, almost gone.

I'm 28, ageing in my skin is something I have noticed in the past couple of years via my expression lines, the ones I've mentioned above are the most significant. I've considered botox and to be honest I know I will consider it again in the future because I simply don't want to get old, I like me now, it took me a long time to be the me I am now and I don't particularly want to say goodbye to her just yet, I'd like a few more years thank you.

Now I know Hydraluron can't get rid of lines, lines are lines, once they are there you need some pretty serious and expensive procedures to have them removed but you know what it can do? Hydrate your skin to within an inch of it's life and plump those suckers right up. That is what it has done for me. I've noticed, people have noticed.

I was telling my mum about Hydraluron the other day and I said it had helped me most significantly with the appearance of my lines, particularly my scowl line and you know what she said? "Yeah, that line between your eyes is looking much better" I smiled, then scowled to show her the difference, she told me off lol.

You know what else? I've not been wearing much makeup lately, I just don't feel there is much to hide anymore. I chuck on a little concealer under my eyes and 10 tubes of mascara and then I go outside and I feel good.

I'm not going to Pro, Con and Conclusion Hydraluron, I think you can probably tell that I'm overjoyed with this product and I highly recommend it. What I will say is stick with it, if it's not going great guns for you when you try it out just give it another week, take a look at what your skin is doing and consider how you can change what you usually do to try to combat new issues. I honestly think this product would suit anyone, even if you have great skin because prevention is better than cure.

Before I finish up I figure I better tell you a bit about the product other than how much I loved it and how it has changed my life skin.

It comes in a fairly small tube, only 30ml but you don't need a lot. It's a clear gel which smooths over the skin very easily and absorbs or I suppose.. sets, within seconds. It is not to be used in place of a moisturiser, it is in no way hydrating enough to be used on it's own.

Toning and/or spot treatments should be used first, hydraluron should then be applied followed by your moisturiser/skin oil/whatever you use.

Would I recommend it? Indeed I would.
Have you tried Hydraluron or do you prefer another hyaluronic acid treatment? Tell me your thoughts!
