Because why not?

Saturday Sample

27 July 2013
Time for another Saturday Sample! I'm quite impressed at the rate I'm cleaning out my sample box, usually they just sit there, waiting for me to have a need to use them, which is never. I'm weird like that, I like to have them and especially receive them (nothing better than receiving something in the mail that isn't a bill) but I never find a reason to use them unless I somehow run out of something and don't have a back up. Thanks to this blog they have a purpose now.

Today I'll be taking a quick look at Bellaboo's E Z Zit Blitz Serum.

Bellaboo is a range of skin care aimed at the younger generation. I am no longer a part of that generation, I'm a big girl now but I still break out and while I'm more inclined to use a ridiculously expensive spot treatment because its the only one I've seen amazing results with I figured it wouldn't hurt to give this stuff a whirl, what did I have to lose?

When I snipped open this sachet and squeezed some product out I made a damn mess and scrambled to wipe the the fluid I had spilt all over my hands on to my face demons, you see it has the consistency of water and I didn't have a clue (think I have an old formula sachet because the ingredients don't list a specific stabiliser that is found on their ingredient list on the website). I estimate that I wasted about 3 applications with this dispensing faux pas.

This clear fluid has a smell I would describe as botanical, like a bunch of plant extracts whacked in a sachet and mixed about, I would say I associate the smell with Jurlique products. I'm not a huge fan of it but when a product delivers results I can turn a blind.. nose?

Now I didn't expect a lot from this stuff but I was seriously surprised, it friggin' works! I used it solely as a spot treatment on problem areas but if you (or I) were suffering with problem patches it could easily be wiped over a large area

Bellaboo says:
Girls tell us that you can say bye bye to blemishes in 2-3 days minus the skin irritation, burning, redness and skin flaking that is often part and parcel of most other pimple treatments. We don't use the chemical ingredients that pretty much all other pimple creams are based on that are designed to dry out the pimple...and the surrounding skin. Instead, we have tapped into nature's wonder anti-acne ingredients to gently re-balance skin so that the contributing factors to pimples are minimized and that means long-term pimple relief vs short term solution

And here's the clincher: It actually does what it says it will do! I saw some results over night and others within the 2-3 day time frame, it didn't irritate my skin, there certainly wasn't any burning or redness and I had no flaking. I would totally buy this stuff! My current spot treatment costs me over $50 and while it works well, this stuff is easily comparable and at $15.99 for a 50ml tube I'm feeling like this stuff needs to be promoted.

Another thing I'm loving about Bellaboo is the fact that they have an ingredients tab on all their product pages, when you click on it you get a list of all the ingredients AND it tells you what they are in lay-mans terms so you can get an idea of what's in the products without googling a million different ingredients.

Would I buy it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. I'd definitely encourage people to check out their products, sure there probably isn't something for everyone in the range and it would be suited best to younger skin but sometimes the best surprises are found where we least expect them.

All Products were purchased by myself and I'm in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.
