Because why not?

July Collective Haul.

31 July 2013
Today we bid July Goodbye and prepare to say hello to August and the last month of winter.

July was not much of a shopping month for me and I've been tossing up with the idea of going on a spending ban but I just don't like the thought of that, makes me feel like I'm irresponsible with money and have no self control, which I personally think I have a lot of. Instead I'm thinking I might do a project pan, I think that will suit me better because I get such crazy satisfaction from finishing a product.

But this post isn't about not spending or finishing things off, in fact it's the complete opposite, let's take a look at what I bought and is shiny and new in my life.

Forever New Lola Biker Coat - $129.00
I've been looking for a nice black coat for ages and when this caught my eye I had to have it, Forever New know what they are doing when it comes to coats.

Sanctuary Spa Youth Boosting Facial In-A-Box - $29.99 | Sanctuary Spa Youth Boosting Cleansing Oil - $19.99 | Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Deep Pore Scrub - $14.49 | Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal Eyeliner in Nude 005 - $9.95 | Rimmel Matte Finish Lipstick in 111 & 113 (red and nude) | Rimmel Apocalips in Phenomenon 100, Nude Eclipse 600 & Stellar 501 | Indeed Laboratories Hydraluron Moisture Booster - $34.99.
Priceline had a makeup sale going on and since everyone was screaming about Apocalips I took the bait. Personally I think they are average, I won't be buying more and you can read more about why here. While I was there I also grabbed a Scandaleyes liner which I'd spotted on another blog, not sure how I feel about it yet and not sure that I'll bother reviewing either, we shall see! Since I was swatching all the Rimmel products I figured I better start moving up my arm with more products and finally got to these gorgeous matte lipsticks. They sucked me in.. Actually I'd been wanting some matte lipsticks for a while, I have a little trick that can make any lipstick matte but I wanted to see how they wear for myself so I was quite pleased to get these in my hot little hands.

Since I was now in crazy makeup lady mode I moved to the skin care section to balance myself out a bit. A face scrub was an absolute must buy since I was completely out, I don't have a HG scrub yet (well I think I do but it's not bank friendly at the moment) so I chose the Clearasil Deep Pore Scrub which isn't bad (maybe review coming in the future).

Finally I wanted the Sanctuary Spa Cleansing Oil since people have been raving about cleansing oils, I'd also seen this reviewed (glowing of course) and all I can say is I'll be reviewing this very soon. While picking this up I had a browse of the other products in the range and spotted the Youth Boosting Facial Kit. Whenever I see brands offering mini kits I buy them, I want to reward them for brilliance! Boxes like this give you the opportunity to try products without splurging on a full size item and the risk of buying a product you don't like basically goes out the window. They have a Brightening Kit as well which I have every intention of buying but for now I seriously have too much enough.

Just before I hit the checkout I spotted Hydraluron. I wanted it. Turns out I actually needed it and it's (insert f-bomb) amazing.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle - $7.99
I picked this up at Safeway and it was an impulse buy, I was browsing with the bestie and after standing in the isle for 20 minutes I couldn't help myself. This buy is actually weird for me because I don't like Pantene. The bestie assured me they are good and I do like to give brands a second chance. I have yet to open them so we'll see.

Olay Regenerist Advanced Cleaning System - $32.49
I actually picked this up yesterday. I read a review which compared it to the Clarisonic which I've wanted forever and figured with the 40% off sale on skin care at Priceline this was the time to buy. I actually got mine for $11.25 with my Priceline rewards voucher. (Another f-bomb) awesome. Oh and there will be a review coming.

Don't Forget that you can head on down to your local Priceline and take advantage of the 40% off sale (last day today!!!) It's a great time to stock up!

Did you shop this month? What did you buy that you would recommend to others to try??

All Products were purchased by myself and I'm in no way affiliated with any of the companies mentioned unless otherwise stated. Links provided are for shopping examples only, I have personally purchased from some (not all) of these online stores but I highly recommend researching before buying.
