Benefit - Foamingly Clean Facial Wash

26 June 2012

Today I'll be reviewing the Benefit - Foamingly Clean Facial Wash.

Foamingly Clean Facial Wash

You can read my general notes on the benefit skincare range hereIt touches on things like smell, packaging and who the products might be suited to.

This product claims to cleanse the skin and remove makeup and impurities in one step, now if I had bothered reading the information sheet then I would have known this and been able to test out it's makeup removing abilities before I removed my days makeup and washed my face just 5 minutes ago. You'll have to forgive me, I'm new to all this. What I will do is review the product based on how I've been using it and tomorrow I will make sure to put this baby to the test and give you folks an update!

I've been using this in and out of the shower and I'd totally buy this stuff again. I reckon this could last a damn long time, you only need a tiny bit (if just doing a cleanse), it lathers up so nicely and although I find my face is a little dry afterwards it also feels clean and soft and that is mainly what I'm after when I wash my face. Followed with a good moisturiser I can't see that this would cause issues for people with dry skin, grouped with the rest of the range I think it works really well.

It's got that same great smell and in a convenient plastic, squeezable bottle.

The Makeup Update!: My face today consisted of Clinique Superpowder, Illamasqua Cream Blusher, Illamasqua Cream Pigment (water resistant), Maybelline Lash Stiletto Voluptuous (waterproof) and Estee Lauder Double Wear Zero Smudge Liquid Eyeliner (waterproof).
The wash managed to remove the blush, powder and cream pigment (used heavily as a colour corrector). It moved the eyeliner around on my eyes but didn't actually remove it and didn't even budge the mascara. So I wouldn't say it's makeup removing properties are that great.

Pros:
  • A little goes a loooong way!
Cons:
  • May be a little drying for some skin types, especially if a skin condition is involved.
  • Not totally effective in removing waterproof makeup.
